Currently using a monthly subscription service for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. I generally just use it to edit, convert and lock pdfs. Have tried some alternatives but don’t find them as good.
I understand that you can do a one off purchase of Adobe Pro such as this one for sale at Officeworks:

There's always NitroPDF for $287. I would honestly lean towards that to avoid Adobe's constant attempts to force you into the subscription model/installing the Adobe Cloud app.
I just bought 5 2015 editions for $695 from Ebay. It has most of the tools available in the newer versions.
Any link? I don’t mind about the other features so long as it can do the basic ones I mentioned in the OP. Thanks

@Chippy47: Really cant say, eBay does guarantee money back if anything goes wrong but further than that you would be on your own.

The high seas version is pretty damn reliable. I’ve used Foxit here and there but it’s not as good.

I use Bluebeam instead of acrobat. Bought a home user version some 10 years back for $130 or so. Maybe you can investigate? https://www.bluebeam.com/download/
p.s. I also use Filecenter to manage files (https://www.filecenterstore.com/products.html). It also have builtin PDF tools such as delete pages, lock PDF, etc. may be suitable for what you need.

Yes, it wasn't ideal. I would like to stick with acrobat.
Have you tried PDF-XChange? My work switched to it about a year ago (previously Acrobat) and I've had no issues and haven't noticed any missing functionality.
