Shampoo is a scam and not necessary. There's lots of research and articles about it on the web, here's a vid from Johnny Harris about it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T-_HKFjxVl0Good man. Yep shampoo will take out all the natural oils in your hair and fill your scalp with chemicals.
yeah heard Luke Heggie talking about it and is against shampoo altogether. Shampoo washes your natural hair oil out then you need conditioner to bring the oils back.
Certainly don't need to use every day twice a day.
Looks like the same Minoxidil 5% product Conor McGregor uses (Kirkland brand)

https://www.reddit.com/r/Minoxbeards/comments/xusx9i/2_month…Guys!
Please read this.
I don't recommend these products.
I used these for about 8 years. They are great products in what they do. However, the issue is that when you stop using them, you will gradually lose every hair that you tried to preserve or grow!
In total, I used several thousand dollars on them and now I also lost almost all the hair, because I simply stopped using this product. They are not cheap, so didn't want to spend more on them.
If I had saved that money, I could easily spend it on hair transplanting. This is also a common solution these days. This is my prersonal experience. Hope it is useful.
Thanks. This might sound a little preachy, but tbh, the cheapest way through this is to learn to accept who you are and what you've got.
I'm not great at growing facial hair and since I was young, I had a massive hang up about it, because I felt I was less of a man.Took me a looong time to learn to look in the mirror and be happy with what I saw instead of trying to be something I'm not. Quick fixes just mask the personal growth that will do you better in the long run, rather than spending loads of cash on changing what you've got.
Sorry for being preachy, and good luck to all the dudes out there. If this product works for you, that's great. If you can learn to love yourself as you are, even better.
Just get a rug..
Same would apply to Pen. Pumps etc
Ha.Wise words.
You'll need to be on Finasteride for a HT, it's highly recommended.
Some people risk it, but you can't grow more hairs in your donor area.
Safest option is to be on Finasteride
I used to take those tablets for a period of time, too.
They are effective. I grew hair every where on my body, even hands and eyelashes!
However, I heard it is risky for the reproduction system, so did not continue using it :)Free vasectomy good..
@G-rig: 😁😁
I've seen people share on Reddit, had no issues.
@[Deactivated]: Just like the majority of people experience no side effects at all
Anyone had any success with Carbonic Acid Shampoo to help with hair growth?
As in, soda water? Had a quick look and can't seem to find a shred of reliable data out there supportive of it. Even if it does remove sebum and encourage scalp circulation, it doesn't act on the relevant hormone driving balding (DHT).
Standing on your head is meant to help, get the blood flowing to the scalp.
There is no credible evidence supporting the "blood flow" theories.
Yeah just thought is throw it in there with the others, but think I have heard something about it.
Funnily enough, don't corticosteroid therapy and monoxide stimulation blood flow in the scalp?
I've read that micro needling with a 192 1.5mm derma roller on the scalp in conjunction with Minoxidil is likely to improve results. The derma roller encourages blood flow and allows better absorption of Minoxidil. Can also use a 0.5mm derma roller on face if encouraging beard growth with Minoxidil
Dermarollers work by causing micro-injuries to the skin without significantly damaging the skin barrier. These micro-injuries heal quickly, leading to stimulation of collagen and elastin fiber production, which can improve the appearance of the skin
@x x: Yeah I'm familiar with those studies (and have used a roller myself) but it still doesn't support the commonly touted means of improvement via blood flow (such as the scalp massages).
Mechanisms of hair re-growth induced by Microneedling include:
- Release of platelet derived growth factor, epidermal growth factors are increased through platelet activation and skin wound regeneration mechanism
- Activation of stem cells in the hair bulge area under wound healing conditions which is caused by a dermaroller

@Tight Tim: Thanks I need to do more reading about it. I bought this stuff in OP and will try it twice a day for a few months on crown area and face. Plan B is I have a trip booked to Bangkok in March for a FUE hair transplant by robot at a clinic
@x x: Best of luck mate - Finasteride is the real difference maker if you're open to giving it a crack.
@Tight Tim: Thanks mate I might try it, but tbh I'm a bit scared about the side effects
@x x: There's a lack of real, evidence-based data supporting PFS if that's what you're referring to. Watch HairCafe, lots of educational videos which are all supported by the scientific literature with published studies referenced in the description. The two Australian doctors on the Hair Loss Show have a great video critiquing the notion of PFS too.
I know that n = 1, but I've never had any adverse side effects. That said, I also avoided the possibility of giving myself a nocebo effect by purposefully not researching people's anecdotes online so there's that.
@Tight Tim: Good info @Tight Tim and @G-rig - I will get a script for Finasteride this week and start trying it. I note the most economical way is to ask for 5mg tab and split into 4.
@x x: Just try it. It's the best and easiest, can stop without an issue if you happen to be one of the extremely few to experience any side effects.
Transplant sounds extreme or extremely important to you, but good excuse for a holiday to the Los. Girls over there wouldn't care if you're Balding.
@x x: Thailand isn't the best for a HT, but if you find a clinic let me know!
@[Deactivated]: From my limited research all these HT clinics around the world use the same ARTAS robot when doing FUE transplant. I haven't booked a clinic in BKK yet but will look for a recommended one closer to the date. So far I've been chatting on WhatsApp with a clinic called Apex Medical Centre
@x x: Could get a rug?
@G-rig: Haha can also use hair in a can which you spraypaint on but I'm not that bad
Just been reading you can get oral minoxidil which you can take together with finasteride
Also read that Formula 82m is good but looks exy@x x: Ha
Could just get a tattoo on your head.
Oral sounds a lot easier, that other foam or ointment isn't practical, messy etc
I started using the foam a few days ago, and since then i've been dizzy, headaches. I think i've been taking to much foam. Its hard to measure.
The Liquid is way easier to measure, and also to spread out over an area vs the foam! But yeah the liquid gives you dry flakey skin!
Fin won't really grow back hair, so if you've already lost hair a HT is the only way to go…but Fin should maintain it.
For head hair I use head and shoulders and then rub in some hair oil.
For facial hair growth i use a good quality moisturizer from Innis Free and follow up with some beard oil during the day.
Also very important to use sun screen too if you're going out
I bought this 2 months ago and it didn't suit my skin. I got a lot of flaky hair and extreme dryness with itching hence I stopped using it.
I have only used 70% of the first bottle. If anyone is willing to buy, please msg me. I will now explore other options for my hair.
In didn't try it long enough but have heard those side effects aren't nice.
Give Finasteride a go if you haven't already, that stuff actually works without the fuss, mess and cost.
Just keep your hair short (clippers) and it's not as noticeable like a combover etc.
Any side effects with Finas? I have stopped using regain yet my dandruff exists
Try it, none to worry about and pretty rare.
@G-rig: let me do that. For the leftover regain, is there a way I sell them to those who are using it?
@nnaa8287: Can't imagine anyone buying it. Mine sitting there easier to bin it

Guys. The best way to avoid hair loss is to stop washing hair. I reduced to washing only once a month. I went from losing 20 hairs from my washes to only losing one or two. And I have coconut oil massage on the scalp every month. I'll have to increase and maybe add one hair wash as well.
What I have understood is genes aside, shampoos are full of chemicals which will damage your hair.
That's the truth!
I'm not talking about people who are genetically prone to hair loss or those who already lost a lot.
