Reason: Unobtainable deal, website displayed wrong item name. Customers who click and collected the item has reported receiving a Google Chromecast HD model, not the 4K model.
Possibly cheapest ever price or maybe I’m out of touch.
I believe may be a price error confused with the HD version but I did a successful C&C

Yep, unless you fool staff in person you're probably going to get the HD version. Not really a bargain.

Tried over the phone, but refused as the model number is different (GA03131-AU matches the HD).

Was only released last month haha. I guess a cheaper option for customers without a 4K TV/Monitor.
Or without any 4k streaming subscriptions.
HD version fixes their software issue and also it's easy to unlock bootloader in this one.

HD version for me, so had to cancel the order when they insisted it was for HD, not 4k.

Most people wouldn’t even look at the model number and see that it’s the 1080 version. They would see that it’s 4K and expect that. At a minimum, you would get a refund

The TV I want this for is only 1080 so it doesn't matter which version I get but the confirmation email has the 4K product number - GA03131-AU

You beauty!! Made the most of a lazy public holiday Monday and picked up 2 via C&C. Staff member was scanning them and it was throwing an error so she processed them as a 'cash transaction' (FYI in case you try an negotiate) definitely the 4K ones though (GA01919).

Went to store to pick up and when I called them on the item they put aside being 1080p they scanned it again and it showed up as the 4K version on their system and I couldn’t fight it

I just did live chat match price with JB and they were happy to do the match price. Sent me a link with the discount on the 4K Chromecast and I have just paid.
Ordered one. Got a notification- ready for pickup.
Then at the shop, found out this is HD version to collect.
Cancelled the order when I asked for 4k, citing price error.
