    Anyone had experience with HP build quality?

    Happy to buy from HN, they have some great deals. Gerry may be a d—k, but at least he's a local d—k. :)

    I don't understand the moral smugness some have about buying from Amazon, like Bezos is some great guy.

      Unlike Gerry, Amazon didn't receive a bunch of pandemic payments that were meant for employees but ended up in Gerry's pocket. Also, Gerry pays very little tax. He (and HN) are a blight on Australia.

        Neither of those issues are unique to HN or Gerry.
        I appreciate that people are still salty about the gst imports thing. But boycotting HN for Amazon on morals just doesn’t make sense.
        Amazon is arguably the far worse company.

      I have the 256GB version of this laptop which I bought on sale for the same price earlier this year from JB Hifi. With the bigger SSD this is an even better deal.

      It's lightweight and held up pretty well so far.

      Not a big fan of the screen, its a low nit count screen and the anti-glare makes the viewing angle quite shit. But honestly I'm not using this for gaming or anything overly hardware intensive and I'm happy with it for what I use it for day to day, which is 90% web browsing and document processing, 10% photo and video editing (struggles with the video editing a bit, but that was expected). For the price I think its pretty good.
