Only one USB-A is very future-proof, but unfortunately not so helpful nowadays.

You can still use USB-C to micro USB cables (or any other old connector) just like you would USB-A to micro USB.

    • Really depends on the person and their usage no? Most of my electronic devices are USB-C around the house so USB-C to USB-C charging has been the norm in our household for a number of years now.

I have this Powastone and the 100W Powerpod (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/726878). Personally, I prefer the Powerpod because of its smaller size and extension cable. That said, the Powastone can do higher output when all 4 ports are used, useful for when you are charging a laptop.

    • Did you get the Powerpod with the extension power cable? Or is it separate to buy

Ignore the negative comment and rating as it is part of a mass negative review targeting. They will be deleted within a couple of weeks. A lot of others have already been deleted by Amazon

        • your links broken dude

        • What do you mean by "mass negative review targeting. They will be deleted within a couple of weeks."?
Who's targeting? How do you know that the comments will be removed?
I'm just interested. I like the Amazon review system, as in you buy an item you get to leave a review/rating.
What I don't like is the "unverified purchase" being able to leave a review.

          • @PukeyLuke: I am happy to share details in pm as we do not wish to escalate things further and run things smoothly.

        • Would appreciate some more transparency around this if possible. Looking through reviews for these rebranded USB-C chargers on Amazon, there are a lot of red flags.

Looking at various reviews and reviewers from a previous comment:

          • "Vine reviewer" - I think it looks dodgy to me but PukeyLukey thinks this is officially associated with Amazon.
          • Belkin AU - yet another account with a large number of reviews but using a trademarked name

          • @ihfree: I've a suggestion to the rep. Rep, if you're so confident on your products, you can submit them to some ruputable third party for review.

I used to rely on lygte-info reviews on buying decision. The site owner accepts product submission for review. But it seems stop pubishing USB charger reviews since 2021, I'm not sure if he still accepts product submmission.

I also visit Dr Gough's Techzone for USB charger reviews. Dr Gough accepts review challange, too. And he lives in Australia which make communication easier.

            • @O O: Thank you for the suggestions and surely we'll reach them out. We have also approached a couple of other Australian reviewers and hopefully they'll post their review soon.

          • @ihfree: Nice to know that I'm still living rent free in your head!!

            • @PukeyLuke: Lol wow, still as emotional as ever.. For the most part they're just USB-C chargers.

Feel free to head down to the library and take a computer class. I guess there's also a small chance that Amazon that need to send designers back to school.

Looks like just a username to me but I could be wrong:

  • anyone know if these types of chargers are allowed onboard a cruise?

    • Cant see why not. I think some cruise chips use US style plugs, so you may want to choose one of their charges where the AU plug can be removed and the USA one is then available.

I have 66W powerpod and love it.

I really wish these disgusting voltage dropping ports, with all different kind of potential charging speeds, depending on which is plugged in where, could be outlawed.
I already prefer all USB-C ports to support 20v, but for the 3rd one to drop all the way down to 5v/1.5A max whenever the USB-A is used, just sounds so annoying. And it's not entirely clear what happens with C2 voltage wise when C3 is in use as well, perhaps disconnected then capped to 12v.

If this 120w charger could always guarantee 20v 1.5a to all ports, and never need to negotiate a new voltage causing a disconnect, we would achieve USB-C PD peace.

    • It provides options within the limitations (or capabilities) of the P.D. 3.0 spec.

      • +1

To have a USB-C port limited to 7.5w, simply because you are using the USB-A port, sounds ridiculously incapable.

Thanks. Got it so can charge my two t470s at the same time

Code does not work. Maybe deal expired.

  • I ordered this model from a previous deal back in June.

It usually works fine but recently after about an hour or 2 plugged into my Legion 5 Pro, it will stop charging. Still works when I plug it into my phone, so I think it could be an issue with getting up to 100W charge speed that Legion 5 Pro needs.

I've submitted a form on their 'contact us' page on Sunday 9/10, no reply yet.

I'm currently on the 'live chat' which says "usually reply in 1h" for the past 3 hours or so with no respond.

    • @ibelievesyd can you help me with my issue?

EDIT: Not sure why but it looks like there are 2 different chat window, 1 on the website when browsing products and a different chat on the 'contact us' page. I got no reply from the 'contact us' live chat but product chat was responsive. They said they have received similar experience from other Lenovo Legion 5 Pro customers in the past. I will be returning it for a full refund.

      • Hi, we changed our live chat app today so probably you saw 2 icons at that time. The black "Chat with us" icon is the new one. Other one has been disabled now. We've looked into the Legion pro on some blogs and there has been similar experience shared by others too.
