sh1t i thought these were like $800 usually - covid really effed it up

  • Got the Gesture with headrest a few months back. Best chair purchase I have ever made. Also the Leap's headrest is HORRIBLE. It sits in front of the backrest and pushes your head forward uncomfortably and cannot be tilted away from your head. Please try it first before you buy or you will definitely regret it.

    • Can confirm, I hate this fookin headrest. Cant remove it either. Did try the chair but they conveniently didnt have any headrest models at the time.

      • you can remove the headrest! a couple of videos on Youtube on how

        • I'll have to do some research

Telstra bought like 2,000 of these and paid $550. If you work for an organisation that uses this, you likely will get a cheaper price.

No wonder why they charge the most for their NBN and mobile plans. The money is used to cover the cost of these chairs.

      • It's true, Optus apparently use much cheaper chairs. But then again, cheap chairs seems to = cheap IT.

    • no headrest/arms

    • Nah we got the Series 2, not the leap, and also no arms/headrests.

      • 242 exhibition was done with Leap, at least the first part of the renovation in 2018. Source: worked on the tender.

You are right though, no arms no headrest I def missed that.

        • Ah fair, thought you were talking about all the work from home gear we got.

  • Got one of these during Covid off Facebook for $450 used without the headrest. Strongly recommend going second hand.

i bought a 2nd hand haworth zody off FB Marketplace for $80, brand new its like $900+ wtf
    chair prices are crazy

  • To save anyone else the trouble, the code doesn't work on the non-headrest model.

I LEAPT just by reading the price..

  • I got one in 2020 for all the lockdown work and would highly recommend investing in any ergonomic chair really the difference on my back had been crazy with these

I personally don't mind the head rest position and the chair comes with pretty decent warranty

    • I love the chair but have you tried using the warranty? I did and i had to constantly send emails for months before they did anything. Useless customer service.

      • Just to clarify, i meant Steelcase support. I haven't dealt with Arki before.
