Hi, some of you may have discovered, that when ordering KFC on your Smartphone, there is a new App.
What I have noticed so far, Nice new layout, but Colonels Offers is missing, so as yet I have been unable to locate Ozb's favourite 'Cheap as Chips'. Also, the 2 x fillet Meal box?
Secret Menu is still there if you drag down from the top.
Order History is empty, even though I used Facebook login still.

KFC were trialling plant based nuggets on the *Illawarra Shire** recently. This makes sense as the Aldi Plant based Nuggets are made by Inghams using a different company name.
I look up to JV. He is the benchmark.
Not a fan of everything just being on 1 page, and the top menu goes to their respective section. The section headers can be easily missed since everything is so large.
Annoyed there is no longer cheap as chips, tried a few stores around me and doesn't look to be available anymore.

Definitely not a fan. It was much easier before to see everything and pick what I want before. Now it feels like they're really pushing too hard the "special/offer" and everything else is harder to navigate or see whats available.
There's also too much stuff makes it feel fat and not needed. Would've much preferred they kept the original, maybe they can use the same colours as the new one and just have a top section for "current promotions/deals".
I went to log in today and was forced to update to this latest app which is horrible. I was shaking with anger and my face was red because I couldn't find the 'app only' deals. I hope it's a terrible dream and I'll wake up to find the old app is still in use

Yeah I can’t get secret menu either on iOS.
Need a bit of patience with the secret menu in the new app… it usually takes a few second after trying to scroll up before the option to unlock secret menu comes up.

I saw this post so I went an updated the app, big mistake! What a gross app everything is hard to find so much scrolling and selections for something which use to be so simple. I really hope maccas does not go down the same path - Maccas if you’re reading this - DONT FIX WHAT AINT BROKE!
Maccas app,that needs work is always crashes and they haven't even got the family Burger boxes the whole menu isn't even on the app.
OMG! No more burger deluxe combo. There goes my sub $10 feed. Looks like I am going to the local drake's for lunch more now.
Still there for me under promos at the bottom. $8.45 for standard and $10.95 for up sized.

They dropper cheap as chips and are charging 50c to swap pieces to tenders.

Woeful design. Much preferred the previous layout. Takes a lot longer to find options. And they took away the Colonel’s Dinner as far as I can see. Not a fan.

Whoever signed off on this UI/Ux design should not be in the industry.. it's a terrible design and having only one item on screen at a time is a big step backwards..
I have friends who's kids could knock up something better than this.. the old app design just needed a small refresh and rebranding this is too much.

no rewards system offers like Mcdonalds or HJ's.. they had a chance to really join in on that level.. big no from me.
I said the same thing - it's legit one of the worst apps I have ever seen. Mad spacing issues, heaps of white space, offers with no images, the works.
I'd even say they need should be let go, it's that bad.

Was very annoyed when I opened the app need to order something in a rush had a bit of a panic moment because everything has moved.
And immediately noticed When adding the online only app deals you can only add 1 now can't add multiple deals.
I added a Burger combo Deluxe app only deal went back to add a second one with a different drink and couldn't do it but can edit to have 2 of those meals but they have to be Identical. ( I just asked them to change the drink at the window at pick up) But if you wanted one original and another in a zinger, can't do that.
But was nice to still find The Secret menu hidden in there.

Late reply but they do still have it! It's 8 pieces of original recipe and two large sides I think for $19.95. Not the greatest but use to get it back before the cheap as chips deal.

The new KFC app is atrocious. Whoever designed it does not have a clue how to design food apps clearly. Seems like they've used some cheap company to create their app that has no clue in what makes a good food app. Every food item is so large it takes up my whole screen, and the tiny horizontal navigation bar at the top to move to the different food types is horrible. Their old app was far superior. Whoever approved this deserves to be fired.
Also, they got rid of their special app deals that attracted a lot of customers, to take this away is a big mistake. Sure, other apps like maccas and hjs have reward systems or shake and win etc which is what attracts customers to their app. KFC app now has nothing going for it, and I hope they lose money from this mistake.

Their website is actually easier to use than this app now so if you're ordering from home, I would use that.
I first opened this new App, last week.
It was such a poor ordering experience for 3 x people,
AND it was missing my favourite meals,
that I just ended up ordering 3 x meals at Hungry Jacks.
KFC will probably see a decline in App-specific sales after the new App rollout.
I hope my order is bulging out of the box like the app photos show! Everything looks supersized, the pic for the 3 piece boxed meal is hilarious!

I think when you swapped stores on the the previous version of the app, it would often drop all the customisations and you'd have to redo them (if it even kept all the same items). But the current behaviour on the new app… it seems to do it the other way around - keeps the customisations, but drops the price!!
Couldn't replicate this in my cart.
The price updates to the correct price once you tap “checkout”. The old app had this bug too, but the result was never (and still is not) cheaper pricing.
Aha, you are correct there - I thought I'd got away with paying the cheaper price last night, but I just double checked my email invoice, and it was definitely the correct price. Oh well…

NO clue what's going on with the app, cant add anything to cart… click on any item but no response on the app. Thought it might have been my phone (ios) issue, so tried on another iphone with the same problem… arh this is driving me crazy.
Try clearing the data, delete the app, then reinstall.
I've now had this app twice send the order to the wrong store - thought I was going mad the first time. But then the second time, I watched it like a hawk. The gist of the wording was: First screen: Your order will be at store A. Next screen: Your order is at store A. Let us know when you're inside the restaurant. Next screen: Order being placed at store B… F*#@ you KFC/Yum Brands.
Now awaiting a refund. Absolutely hopeless…
Seems like they've gone down the road of big menu items to put everything in your face.
I kind of like the new app but I've always hated having to scroll horizontally to view all the menu items. 6/10 bring back the Zinger Box already.
