imo super repetitive and boring. Map is huge but the interactions and fights are all the same.

sounds like a lot of games…I was going to buy guardians of the galaxy but that was mega repetitive and the cut scenes were insanely long.

Yeah open world games are seriously overrated. But then again, how many devs would they need to hire to make any open world experience lively and unique. To reach peoples expectations, the whole model just seems unsustainable year after year.
I enjoyed Farcry 5 much more.
Just started FC6 at the island so far so good. Giving Just Cause vibes. FC5 i straight up skipped all diaglogues and cutscenes lol - once I got the help and LMG, that was it. The ending too i didnt know what was going on, had to youtube it.
I got if for free on the PC (Samsung promotion) and its decidedly… average. It goes through the motions of ubisoft open world design and you'll be rolling your eyes at how everything seems so familiar - its no different from a 2010 open world title. I hope the lack of criticial reception to this game make Ubisoft make some much needed changes

Pretty good but not $90 worth when it retailed, I paid about $30 for it around easter, took me a few months of casual gaming to finish it 100%.
I literally just put the controller down and walked away from it ten minutes ago because it was doing my head in. I paid $80 for a deluxe edition and still not finished because I find it so tedious that I lose interest. The story is fine but gameplay is repetitive, and they made capturing outposts so painful that it sucked the fun out of what was my favourite part of far cry. For $19 it’s a good price
I got it on Friday, with a price match at EB. Btw the one near my house refused PM but another store did. Anyway, it's pretty much a far-cry game. There's some emphasis on the cinematic story but nothing new per se. It's not necessarily a bad thing if you like the Far Cry formula i.e. do missions till you can take out the lieutenant in each area with the help of some animal allies and then unlock the final boss fight, pretty straightforward. Also, no skill points, you have to grind materials to unlock weapon mods which suit your play style.
$20 too expensive.

I think $1/hr is the cheapest entertainment you can get e.g. a $20 book would be over in 8-10 hrs, a $20 movie would be over in 2-3 hrs, certain services cost about $200/hr + options, etc.

You lose the entire second hand market as well as these great physical sales while locking yourself into a single, monopoly storefront. Digital only consoles are a dystopian future for gaming.
On the plus side, xbox games pass is incredible value and far better than anything sony is putting out. So at least there's some silver lining there.
I think Sony would add in an external Blu-ray disc drive later on for the PS5 Digital version which can be quite a game changer for existing owners.
But yeah GPU is really solid value and probably the best suscription service in terms of value for money. I bought my XSX solely for GPU.
yeah sadly, however I got my series S for $290 on Gumtree without a controller and I really can't complain for what it offers
Far cry series may me feel headache and sick when playing.
Not everyone enjoy fps, thats why a warning when you start the game. I used to had a motion sickness when play farcry, but back then its the only game I own, I can only play 30 min before feeling sick.
Yeah its quite common issue, gotta tinker a little with the settings, I think disabling the motion blur fixed it for me.
Before the change I could play 1/2hr max, after the change I could play hours no problem.
I liked it. Got it for $69 at launch and traded back in for $68 with the birthday bonus @ EB.
You know what you're getting into. It's a grind and I get it's not for everyone. For $15 or $19 it's good value I reckon

Allowing Private Messages is a user by user thing..one can have it either switched off, or switched on - it's in your profile settings.
Got it working. I had to click allow private message on and off a couple of times. Don't see why i was down voted when i had a legitimate ozbargain account error/bug. It was originally ticked to allow private message too.
