didn't see you in this post
Yep! They really should just say "available with a gold coin donation" not free.
Targeted - for people with gold coins.
Update. Card is accepted too!
Gold cards only
lmao
That gets hard too, every second pleb is being upgraded to a platinum card…
Kinda awkward if they ask you whether you want to pay $1/$2 when paying by card lol
Is it? I pay for everything by card, no matter how low the cost is. I’ve even paid charity can rattlers at major intersections via square readers.
@jjjaar: I mean its awkward to be asked which one you want to pay ($1/$2) not the amount itself
@Rain Cloud: Oh, right. Yep like when you pay for something and the machine asks I how much you want to tip, but it was just over the counter service…
@jjjaar: Yep, cringe
I only carry Bitcoins
someone really hates crypto
They most likely lost all their life saving in the crypto FOMO or possibly the person who bought a pizza with bitcoins in 2013
Can I use pennies?
You'll have to find them first :D

On that note, if you've got Macca's points, you can use them to buy coffee (I think it's 2000 pts) and it's the same price for small/medium/large.
2500* points but yes. Also no surcharge for other milks.
Shit I'd hate to be working at any of the fast food places after the game
Definitely was worse when they offer Free Big Mac/Whopper if home team wins and the stadium is a few hundred metres away from the store.
Did this before and it took about 40 mins. Can't imagine the stress they would've been under.
Not free, who is the donation going to?
Me
Ronald McDonald's face paint supplies
Ronald Mc Donald laughing sitting in one of his luxurious cars!
still making a profit maccas
Pardon me, but if you live in Melbourne why would you go to Maccas for a coffee? There are amazing places with much better coffee especially in Melbourne!
At 5pm for the AFL footy cliente, McD coff is about as fancy as their palate can appreciate…
Hence the promotion..
McCafe started in Melbourne, it's as Melbourne as you can get.
If you're in the CBD or bougie suburbs I'd agree, but if you're in the outer suburbs or new estates, or it's 3am, Maccas coffee is actually not a bad option in my experience!
If you're on the road driving, then Maccas is a decent choice. Their coffee with a bacon egg muff / hashbrowns is pretty decent. Also, better than any fuel station for driving when cafes are closed
I got the old McMuffin meal for brekkie the other day and it cost me over $11!!! I thought it was happy meal price $6-7…
Yeah, hard to believe how much people pay for this rubbish on the regular…
Gold is around $2500 per ounce. I have determined that the coffee would have to make me levitate in order for me to part with my coin. Does it?
7/11 has same offer
Their coffee is even crappier!
FREE! But give money first…
"Free"
So it's…not free then?
