Hi all,
I'm just finishing a month free with Aussie Broadband after free months with Origin, Telstra (well, $1) and Dodo. Does anyone know of other providers offering a free month?
Otherwise going to have to pay for it!

Thanks for suggestion, no I haven't. This is a newbie question but is it okay to stop NBN service without porting? I thought if not porting away it requires a technician to re-activate the line, hence why I haven't looked at a few wireless broadband options or the TPG offer.
If you cancel nbn you just signup again and no technician required.
Launtel do a 7 day trial. Tangerine do a 14 day trial.
Cancelling a HFC service rather than porting it can delay activation of the new service by several hours apparently(point 10).
According to the same author it might require a technician visit on some occasions too. I don't know what the specific issue is here but I can imagine a problem if NBNCo have made some other stuff up in the interim period. For example, a twisted pair from a MDU to a FTTN node is accidentally reused when setting up a new service in a block.
hfc should be fine I've cancelled a service and it's not been used for 1-2 months and as long as the NTD was connected the service was re-activated very quickly, this has been at different properties too
@Irishness: Given the author of that post runs an ISP his sample size is somewhat larger than yours.
Also just checked and 5G not available at my address.
I'm not 100% sure but you might be able to resign up to dodo for another free month
It took three days last time I went to Dodo and I found them pretty unpleasant to have to deal with when I had an issue. Free internet is good, and I'd go back to them for a free month in future but I need it in a day or two.
Paying is for chumps
Yep, but do you have options? cheers.
Launtel will give you 7 days free on any speed without any payment details.
Use a referal code for another $25 free credit after first top up (min $50)
