    Great charger

68W model is $44 on TGGC, usually $60. Have been using as a MBA / iPad Pro replacement charger, lighter EDC

    • should work with most 45W ultrabooks too!

Thanks for this, have included it in the post and gave a little shoutout!

  • Note: this delivers 20w power for each port

    • +1

Have included it in the post now with the power for each port for both chargers, thanks!

    • Perfect for a pair of HomePod Mini’s in a stereo configuration.

  • The 68W charger shows up as $89.95 for me. Any suggestions?

  • Great deal. I am looking at buying one for my iPhone 8 plus :)

What about this Cygnett one that is $28 on TGGC website:

    https://www.cygnett.com/products/powerplus-45w-multiport-wal…

    It is 4 ports (2 usb-c pd + 2 usb-A).

We have two iPhones in the house fast charge capable and two old iPads that are not so the Cygnett one would be ideal for an all in one solution.

    • But Belkin does offer connected equipment warranty.

    • -2

This could possibly drive two 45W USB C and two 20W USB A simultaneously. One hell of a charger if so.

      • +2

Total output for that one is stated as 45w , so using all 4 ports simultaneously won’t give you 2x 45w + 2x 20w

        • Oh I didn’t see that. I will buy the Belkin one instead

    • How much does the cygnett weigh?

What's the easiest way to get a TGG Commerical acc? Because all seems zero chance ie pensioners

    • +3

Get the rest app install, register than go to rewards section and get the code to sign up for gg commercial thats how I got a ggc account.

      • Thanks for guiding. I have done it too. I will keep an eye for offers during black Friday/cyber Monday :)

      • Do we actually need a real name and ID to register at rest?

        • I used my real name/address and contact details while registering.

      • Rest app meaning the superfund? Do you need to sign up to their superfund??

      • This is great. Worked for me. Thanks a lot. I used my correct details when signing up but skipped the tax file number part.

  • I wonder how much different they are in size. If the big one is double the size, maybe the small one is better for travel, however if not too much diff maybe the bigger one is better for faster charging. Doesnt seem to be any stores close to me with stock tho sadly.

  • Does this have PPS Fast Charging, (Programmable Power Supply)?

    • no

How is that a deal when 65W double USB-C chargers (PLUS an extra USB port!) go for as little as $5 at AliExpress?

Is the Belkin brand really worth quadruple the cost??

    • +2

It's worth taking into account the cost of equipment attached to the $5 charger and potential life risks for you.

    • +2

      Yes

  • Hi, anyone know if JB hifi will pricematch TGG comercial? Thanks

    • I am waiting JB or Amazon to price match this 68W deal.

      • +1

        be sure to post

      • I called JB and the sale rep told me JB does not price match commercial site.

  • I bought the Belkin 40watt usb-c charger from a previous Amazon deal. Seems nice and reliable. I'm using it to power 2 X Orico 7 port hubs each with 5usb portable HDD in it. Charger does not get hot and seems stable. One thing however. I used a USBC fast charge blitz cable for one hub and the HDD kept clicking on and off. Changed to a Baues 100w cable and the problem went away. Seems cable quality is a potential issue but I've never had an issue before with a blitz wolf cable. But I had purchased the blitzwolf cable some years before.

  • They shouldn't be allowed to call it a "68w" charger. The product title should be "50+18w" or similar.

    • +2

Except it's not 50+18 it can do 60w out one port or 50w out one and 18w out the other simultaneously. So 68w is more accurate than 50+18w, but ultimately, like all multi port chargers these days you need to see the breakdown. This one actually labels the port as 50-60w which makes it pretty clear.

Some of the 4 port chargers have a list of 4-5 different combinations they can do, it would make titles unwieldy.

The 68W is it going to be too much for iPhone 14 Pro and Apple Watch or should I get the 40W?
What’s the optimum charger capacity for iPhone 14 pros? Don’t want to damage the phone and watch.

    • they should limit/adjust to the max consumption - shouldn't do any damage

      • Thanks a lot. Do you happen to know how much max capacity charge iPhone Pros can take?

        • +1

The 13 pro reportedly charged up to around 23w using a 30w charger before there was no increase in speed from going higher. The chargers and phone 'agree’ on what power to draw, so any well built charger should be fine.

I wouldn’t imagine you’d notice the difference between 20w and higher in the real world. If charging wirelessly MagSafe is 15w and most other wireless chargers for iPhone are less again.

One school of thought is that slower charging is better for battery health if you don’t need the quick boost as the battery won’t get as hot.

Not sure the dimensions but the lower w charger is probably smaller, so I’d prefer it for travel unless also charging a laptop as most laptops these days will charge using 60w and lower if not working hard.

The short answer is to choose Apple's 30W USB-C power adapter, which at $39 is the company's lowest-priced charger that can charge the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro Max at their maximum supported charging speeds of 25W and 27W, respectively. All other higher-priced Apple chargers, such as the new 35W adapter with dual USB-C ports for $59, charge the devices at equal to negligibly faster speeds at best.
Interestingly, Chongdiantou found that the iPhone 14 Pro Max can briefly achieve peak charging speeds of nearly 29W with Apple's older 29W power adapter, which was designed for the 12-inch MacBook and discontinued in June 2018.

          • @spikiii: Thank you so much. Now for Apple Watch and iPhone 14 Pro should I just buy the 40W charger as each port can deliver 20W? With this adapter can I charge the watch safely as well not sure if the Apple Watch S8 can talk with the charger. The bigger adapter will give 58W in on one port which probably iPhone doesn’t require.

A little dearer for anyone who missed out.

  • Anyone received their order yet? I ordered on 20th September and so far only received email for preparing order on 22nd.

No email about shipment and no sign of my order.

    • I ordered on the 13th of September, and mine has been on backorder since then. Haven't heard from them since

      • Same here. Nothing yet.

        • +1

I called them up and they confirmed it was on back order but had no idea on an ETA. What's worrying is that the listing has been removed from TGG commercial website
