Ozbargained. Rode my sisters scooter to the local big W only to find the isle decimated.

      • +19

Hope you didn't leave your (sister's) scooter outside the dairy.

      • +3

        Toblerowned!

I'll exit myself out thank you

        • +2

I kind of feel bad jumping on deals like this that are so unbelievably good that they're clearly an error. I hope Big W can absorb the loss and no-one loses their job over this.

  • +11

Bargain, going to buy 10 now.

    • +2

How do you know which Big W? Offer may not be available in all stores.

      • +3

Well there's big red posters everywhere saying "The Big Sale" so I'm assuming this is nationwide ><

    • +4

Make sure you buy them in separate transactions to save 50 cents in total.

  • +1

    Are they a whopping 2c cheaper because they're a Ttoblerone knock-off?

    • Lolz edited ><

    • +18

Cmon mate. Its ok to have some fun.

    • +2

A bargain is a bargain. My old standby example is apps that cost a dollar are suddenly free or 50 cents. People go nuts. Go figure.

      • -3

        2 for $6 at Coles is a better bargain…

    • +1

I am seriously sharing my laughter with the ozbargain folk :)

      • +12

Seriously there should be a 'lolz' button next to 'neg' button

  • This is a joke, right?
And why did they even print that label, it was such a waste of paper

    • +1

This deal doesn't seem fair to the Big W stockholders.

    • ROFL

    • +1

  • How generous of them to offer to save customers x 1%(cash), on overpriced toblerone. o:

  • +36

    Buy 223, get 1 free!

  • +3

It's almost worth bringing back the 2c coin for this! I can just imagine the feeling of that 2c saving in my hand. Bargain!

  • +7

    • +4

      Woohoo! Additional 22c saving!

    • +4

"whadda you mean you don't sell trobolohhs? Go get some, i'll wait here."

  • +4

Anyone going to buy 10+ and sell on eBay for profit?

    • +3

      Ozbroden'd?

  • +17

I tried to price match this at my local coles but they refused, saying it was below cost.

    Can anyone upload a receipt?

    • ..they say Down Down, Prices Are Down but Big W ups the ante: chocolate slashed 1pc.

  • +7

This is the sale we've all been waiting for!!!! They can't possibly make money this ludicrous price, get your toblerone before they realise!!!!!!!!

  • +6

No doubt OfficeWorks will soon counter with a price 1c less.

    • for the laughs the comments have given me.

    • +1

Then how about some green love for the OP?

  • only a few left

  • +8

    • +2

      Dick Smith style…

      • you know what they say, everyone loves Dick !! LOL

    • +12

What do you mean? This is a 2 cents BONANZA! What a deal. Best deal all year for sure.

      • -1

Just saying it's not that uncommon. It's not really a special… more like in store spam, a few cents off just to get a highlighted ticket against a product…. and it works… they will sell more…. just not to ozbarginers as we tend to look at the savings.

      • -2

      Why Be so serious?

      • -1

Just didnt find it funny as I have seen this every week for 10 years when I worked in the supermarket game….. but small things do amuse……

  • +3

The retail market is sure to pick up with great sales like these.

  • +3

Damn, I wanted to be the 100'th voter, but in the time I read the comments it jumped to 109!

  • +2

Sucks… filled up a trolley with them and they said limit one per customer. Unfair IMO, taking it to the ACCC. I'll let you all know how it turns out.

  • +3

I am going to buy 50 toblerones so that i can save a $1. Best deal ever

  • -4

wow ozbargain really is the pits now

  • Im going to buy all of these up, then sell them online.

I already bought 400000 of them to get 100% market share so sucks to be you if you want a toblerone for my one off discount price of $4.47.

How does it feel to tremble before me?

  • +1

I still think the deals are better at Hungry Jacks…just my 2 cents.

  • +3
  • HAHA they moved to forums….priceless.

    • lol yeah.. sif moved :(

priceless? more like 2c off! ><

  • There were around half a dozen reports against this one and it's now moved to forums rather than staying on the deals section.

    • +5

Well, I guess if it frustrated 6 people, but made only 130 people smile… its a bit too dangerous to keep as a deal.

      • Yes it might be a once off fun — I was watching it for about half an hour but finally decided to move it to forums. We definitely do not wish to set precedence. Pictures that are set to be posted on 9gag should stay there. OzBargain is for bargains.

        • fair enough.
in all honesty the carbon deal was better anyway.

        • lol awww damn.. it was fun while it lasted ><

thanks for keeping it on there for a lil while though :)

        • +3

          just noticed we can't + or - scotty's comments :P

        • just curious.. how many positive votes did it get? last i checked it was on 70+

        • It was 110 when I saw it.

        • lol good thing it was removed then, otherwise it'd get it's name in the history books

        • @CVonV — 130 when I moved it. If a 2c saving can get 130+ votes (rather than getting voted into oblivion), you know there's something wrong with this "bargain".

        • +2

It's actually all kinds of right.

        • lol.. i vaguely recall a not so serious post being voted into oblivion a while ago.. can't remember exactly what it was though

oh and how come we can now +/- your above reply?

        • +3

oh and how come we can now +/- your above reply?

He had to take off his mod-suit to run out for more toblerones!

I knew it…so was it too good to be true or just an expired deal??
