I feel like this would be handy when using it, but I'd never bother to get it out, change the connections and use it for the 5 seconds I need to vacuum under a bed.
What bed size do you have? I definitely cannot clean the flood under my bed within 5 seconds with queen sized bed

If your bed frame is low, I think that would be beneficial as well.
Plus I just thought that this could be the best tool to clean the carpet under my car seat.
With my Dyson the unit itself is too big to allow it to clean under my bed, nothing to do with bad knees.

No, the heads are the same size. The reason is that the power coupling is different on the V12.

The light pipe attachment was announced alongside the V15 & V12, so I suspect this attachment was marketed as specific to these models but it was then expanded to the entire range. But I'm not really sure.
The only vacuum that has a different power connector is the V12 (I expect it uses a different internal voltage, I should probably use my multimeter to check). So there are V12 specific attachments powered attachments.
All the other attachments are compatible between V7, V8, V10, V11, Outsize, V15, and even the Omniglide models should be cross compatible, but check the compatibility of the part number on the Dyson website to confirm before purchase.
