  Hi . Anyone know if I can upgrade/save my asus A55d laptop with this ? Was upgraded from 4gb to 8gb ram and had an SSD installed . Or time to retire it - it's slowing down with W10 and updates and im running an AV

    No, you cannot, this is DDR4, your laptop needs DDR3.

    Before you retire it you should try turning your PC into a chromebook using https://chromeenterprise.google/os/chromeosflex/, the CPU and 8GB of ram should run it very well. If you are only browsing / movies it should do the job quite well.

    For most applications the same. Your link is probably dual ranked. Older, less dense but apparently in most games might be a couple percent faster.
