This is most likely made in South Australia by Coopers, so you are better off buying Carlsberg Elephant Beer.
What's the logic behind this?
Carlsberg Elephant Lager @ 7.2% ABV 330ml x 6 is $24.99 at Dan's.
This Carlsberg Pilsener here has less alcohol in it, but the same amount for $8.99.
Carlsberg went massively downhill, since Coopers started brewing, and took over from Fosters. The Saint Etienne from Aldi tastes more like Carlsberg, than what this does. Fosters Recipe was closer to the original imported product than what Coopers have made( a local bottleshop used to import it).
Elephant beer sometimes comes up on special, and a 6 pack can give you a knock. :)
Pricewise $10 for a 4 pack is good, but the quality of this is very ordinary. Grab the 6 pack of St Etienne instead for $9 to $10, or a case for $34.95Elephant beer is entirely different though - taste and strength - much sweeter than the Pilsner.
It's like saying "the Fosters is horrid, you should go get a Lashes instead" or something to that extend. There might be some truth to the assessment of the taste, but there's not crossover in the palate.
Typically 500ml cans of anything aren't brewed in Australia. Usually the best way to ensure you get imported versions of the European lagers
Maybe that used to be true but I'd be surprised if Great Northern, Carlton Dry & VB 500mL variant is brewed somewhere else.

Unfortunately, these are South Australia brewed. Having one now, bought from aldi when they were on sale last time for $10.
$54 / 24 is decent value.
Check your local Dan Murphys store online. Some stores near me are showing as $34.55 for a carton (24) and $8.50 for a 4 pack now.
