Just noticed overnight $350 price drop. Combine with $350 trade in bonus, $100 voucher if you ask chat nicely online and $50 newsletter sign up bonus (unreliable) and you have a pretty good deal. Not the all time lowest but much better than recent times.

Yes my bad. S22 Ultra. Fixed in title. Thanks.
What's all time low?
In the public realm, yes, but this has been the EPP price (not the edu ones). Anyone has edu can confirm?
I paid about 1300 for 256 with Samsung care as a pre order
Copy and paste from my comment in another thread:
I paid $1,454.50 for for 256 GB model w/ the Smart Clear View Cover as pre-order when it first launched (10th Feb).
This was via the Samsung Education Store, which dropped the price to $1599.20 as pre-order, and then they had a $200 coupon if you bought an accessory, which was based on the $55.30 case. I think there must have been something wrong; my guess is that there was supposed to be a min $200 accessory cost.
@tonyamazing: There was a bug on their website then. After removing accessories the discount was still staying on as long as there was 1 piece of accessory.
@reloxation it's a rock band
$1294 on edu portal but no bonus trade in
Looks like they match the price on the Westpac EPP price too.
Current pricing on S22 Ultra at Westpac EPP.
128gb - $1294.30
256gb - $1399.30
512gb - $1504.30Do they have the bonus trade in?
No they don't unfortunately. so I guess this would be a deal if you do have trade-in.
My old S8 is being valued at $15. Does that mean I wouldn’t get 350 off, but only 15? (It’s worth way more to me as a perfectly working spare phone at $15 than to sell it)
The trade in link next to the section just says the value of your phone, and the (5) TCs isn’t shown at the bottom?
Looking at the past and I personally did it too, I never sent the phone back and they charged me the phone value 2 3 weeks later. So I see why that won't work for you.
Do a trade and never send the phone back.
so you mean do a trade-in to get the bonus value, like $350 here, then no need to send the old phone back and 2 - 3 weeks later they charged the value of your old phone, like $15 for Tuttle? That sounds good and thanks if you can help to confirm.
Yup, unless something changes since February, that's what I did.
My phone was valued at $500 and there was a trade in bonus of $350.
I got $850 deducted out of my phone order straight away and only paid the balance.
Received an email a few days later from the trade in company to return phone, then a warning email.
They then charged me $500 and an admin fees of $65.
That's it!
@abs898: ouch at the admin fee
@xrailgun: It was worth it tbh. I sold my note 20 ultra on market place and it only costed me 300-350 to upgrade with Samsung care
@abs898: Thanks for sharing the info.
Just checked Samsung's T&C and found the following and hope Samsung didn't change their process:
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T RETURN MY DEVICE?
If you do not to return your device in 7 days , you will be automatically charged the value of the trade-in value plus a $60 (AUD) administration fee. Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit which was applied to your order.@mafim: Samsung may also charge you for any additional bonus credit which was applied to your order.
This part wasn't there earlier. Can anyone else confirm?
@abs898: can confirm, last year it started with was no clause for charging for non-return at all, then with each ozbargaining they clawed back more, wouldn't be surprised if eventually the wording changes to a more definite "no return = no bonus".
I wouldn't pay $15 for your perfectly fine-to-you spare S8 just like you wouldn't pay a dollar for my fine-to-me spare iphone 5.
I’m not asking you to - but for me it’s worth more than $15 to have a working android phone that I can use for other purposes.
My question was, is the “$350 bonus” paid regardless of the phone you provide?
Also, it says “Receive a bonus $370 with trade-in” (3)” at the very top of the pageFunnily enough, this TCs gives me my answer
“ . For a limited time, when you trade-in your existing eligible device, you will receive an additional $350 bonus credit that you can use towards the purchase of a Galaxy S22 Ultra. Bonus credit is in addition to any trade-up credit.”
(For anyone else wanting to know)My point was our spare, old phones are worth more to us than to the manufactureres.
As for the trade-in sum:
Redeem your trade-in amount
Once the app has run a diagnostic on the eligible device you wish to trade in, you will receive a unique trade ID and your trade-in value. Upon checkout of your new Samsung device, enter the trade ID at checkout to redeem your trade-in value.
So $350 is rather for newer models.
@pizzaguy: No, it clearly says that it is $350 on top of your trade in offer. So in my case, my S8 effectively becomes valued at $365 which is much more acceptable
No, the trade in bonus is on top of whatever trade value you are offered.
So your total trade would be $365, assuming you return the phone you're trading.
Not bad, I got mine ultra 512 for 1k3 trade in when it came out with the bonus pack.
1k3 ?
1300
Why not just write 1300
@RADICALIST: $0.0013 mil
1.3k
So the final price with trade-in is $1499 or $1499-$350=$1149 ?
Yes, it will be $1149 and minus your phone's value also you can get $100 off with loyalty voucher through chat.
Just a heads up I asked chat for a $100 voucher and they gave me one.
I'm holding back this time and keeping my s21. I'll plunge for the s23😊
when is it coming ?
Next year for sure. The galaxy phones are incrementally improving. It makes sense to skip one generation. That's my view at least with increasing prices
If you look at the yearly announcement trend of galaxy phones it will be end of Jan-March most likely.
Same, didn't see much improve on S22 Ultra from my S21 Ultra. I am fine to use Moto G51 5G with microSD card for a work phone.
Good one 👍🏾😊
im with you, my 21U still snappy fast despite having to send it to Samsung for repair charging port…no need to upgrade with minimal improvement
Does JB Hi-fi price match Samsung? They also have a $350 trade-in bonus credit.
Don't forget that you can get $100 via Zip, if you are spending $1000 on JB.
JB Hi-fi also offer me $85 more in trade in for my s22. If they price matched it may just twist my arm. Hate the battery life of my s22
Can someone please confirm if i don't return the trade in phone, how much will samsung chargem me… i was reading somewhere its $60. Is it true ?
Thanks
Check abs898's comment above.
Thanks, just got the S22 Ultra 256GB version for $1,194 with trade in bonus of $350, $5 for an old S8 I had lying around, $50 voucher from newsletter signup and $100 voucher from asking live chat.
Only the burgundy colour 128GB is $350 off. The rest are just $300 off
Does the trade up charge you up front? I haven't even completed my purchase yet and they charged me.
I understand the $1 hold or card validation, but what's up with the full amount?
Does anyone have a spare $50 newsletter voucher? Mine is not coming through… Thanks!
Has anyone kept the trade in bonus in the current promotion after not returning the trade in phone?
Can I please have a 100$ loyalty voucher and $50 voucher if anyone not using?
send meI have $100 that can be used for Z fold or flip or s22 ultra
And will be swapping with $50 newsletter code.
You mean s22 ultra
