I have the Bose Frames Tempo sports (also linked in description by OP)

Great sound quality for glasses! Use them on my ride to work.

Fit is good on my head, but friends with small heads it swims on and have no chance. My brother's head is on the bigger side and he heated up the nose bridge to bend them a bit wider to not clamp as hard.

The arms are thicker in the axis extending away from your head than normal glasses making them incredibly uncomfortable to wear with a full face helmet, or really any helmet which comes down low near your temples.

To change volume on glasses you need to swipe the upper corner of the arm where the Bose logo is, so if you wear gloves they need to be touchscreen compatible finger tips. You can also double tap to launch assistant, a neat feature to ask google to open my garage door when riding home.

Otherwise the multifunction button turns on, changes tracks etc.

Tempo sports are also the only ones with a standard USB-C charge cables others use a proprietary magnetic connection.

I'm a tech reviewer and am actually posting my review on the tempo sports this weekend so I can answer any questions about them.

  • has anyone tried to fit prescription lenses into these? how does it feel? is it any good for everyday use?

I use the Tenor with prescription glasses. It's been a game changer for me. This is absolutely the future.

I can listen to songs, podcasts, take calls, etc.

The lens was fitted by https://eyesports.com.au/

I had to post the glasses to them and in less than a week they sent it with the prescription glasses fitted. I was able to claim for the lenses from my insurance.

I'm usually able to use it for the whole day with a charge on the Tenor.

I'm super excited for the future, looking forward to this becoming the new normal.

  • I tried the Soprano. They were fun, but just too tinny and underpowered for me. Even at maximum volume, I was struggling to hear music while riding a bike in traffic.

I would strongly recommend buying them directly from Bose ($399.95) which comes with a 90-day no-questions guarantee. You can try them for 3 whole months at no cost.

If you can spare the cash, grab these as well at the discount price, and leave them sealed in the box. Return within 30 days if you don't like them.

edit: they are not polarised. It looks like the polarised lenses have been discontinued.

  • Film cable inside the folding part is very fragile. one day it will stop working without any symptom. If you are lucky it happens when warranty covers.
