Looking the upgrade my Hisense 24” for a bigger TV.
Don’t use it much only to watch Nextflix about twice a week. Don’t have an Aerial port either so only the very rare occasion I have to watch something on say 60 minutes we have to use it through the web or smart tv or whatever it is these days
Any suggestions?

I think naming your budget would be a good starting point but going by your use case I can only assume you're not really looking to spend much. Also does it have to be strictly 55" or is 65, 75 etc on the table.
if strictly around 55" then a quick browse on kogan shows a 58in model going for under $500 https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-58-4k-uhd-hdr-led-smart-t… which should get the job done for super casual viewing.
If money isn't an issue then grab a 55" oled from Sony or LG which will set you back 2k give or take depending on model, make and year etc.
Check ALDI stores to see if they have any left over TV's. You can return the Aldi TV if you do not like it within 60 days, which you cannot at other stores.
For 55" you could likely get a free or very cheap one off marketplace.
A quick look shows LOTS of 55" sets for $150 - $350.
