I think Paypal says in their t&c, that you're not allowed to charge a fee for paying with paypal.

    • -1

If you can kindly tell me where in the T&C under For Merchants and Businesses, i will have a look into it :) Thank you for letting me know.

      • PayPal User Agreement section 4.6 covers this.
"No Surcharges. You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services, as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions."

Not sure what this means given you have CC with the same fee, but bank transfer with no fee.

        • -4

Not sure if it applied to shopping carts/merchant/business account. But let's call it handling fees then :)

And just feel strange that many other retails store out there charge 1-3% when customer try to use credit card….

This is so complicated. But we've been doing this for years, included "handling fees" in the shopping cart total before customer check out.

          Any comment welcome :)

          Thanks
          KG

        • Really you shouldn't be charging a percentage for a CC payment either because the bank charges the merchant a fixed transaction fee ($0.14 per transaction or so?). So if you're charging the customer 2.9% for a credit card transaction, you are making money off any product sold over about $5…

        • -4

Money booker charge us more than 2.9% and a fixed transaction fees, and paypal charge us 3.4% + fixed transaction fees.

That is why we give bank transfer option without any charges because bank charge nothing for transferring money.

We are working to get a CC processing option from the local bank but they still charge a fixed % + fixed transaction fees.

          Being honest here.

          Thanks

          KG

        • Pay Pal only charge 2.4% + $0.30 per transaction.
You even get further discount if are a merchant and getting more than $5000 a month
          https://www.paypal.com/au/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-receiv…
All details are in the link.
It's either you are being dishonest or getting rip off by PayPal.
Also worth to notice paypal will charge you nothing if the customer send payment using paypal balance or bank transfer.

We are using Malaysia PayPal account. Please check the fees in /MY paypal.
And check in merchant receiving fees.

It is actually 3.9% + 30 cents AUD

          Thanks

        • Why would you use Malaysian Paypal when you are an Australian business?

        • And we gain nothing to be dishonest, why would we do that?

And receive using paypal balance that charge no fees is only for personal account, we are on merchant account.

          Thanks

        • I am not going to be so detail with you in this but just to tell you, PayPal Australia doesn't like our business with them (Maybe it is mostly digital products and a lot overseas credit card fraud happened). They didn't tell us exact reason.

          Cheers

        • Less visibility for the ATO?

          $60+fees for D3 .. Not a bargain IMO

        • +1

It's much better than other places I have seen as they all recently put their prices up. Please can you name cheaper places including offshore sellers.

    • I think that only applies to ebay. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/listing-surcharges.html
"Sellers are not allowed to charge eBay buyers an additional fee for using ordinary forms of payment, including credit cards, electronic transfers, PayPal, ProPay, and Paymate. These costs should be included in the price of the item and should not be charged separately."

    • Ouch. I've been letting ebayers rip me off on surcharges with Paypal for a while now.

  • "Fees may applied to credit card / PayPal user" - What are the fees?

    • Edited - thanks

This can be had for $55 delivered (£34 after VAT removed) - physical copy I think?

    • -1

39.99 pound is around 62.5 AUD. Also we are just selling Digital copies now.

      Thanks
      KG

      • for just $3 more, i'd rather to have a hard copy…

        • if only you want to wait..

        • +1

For $13 less, id rather have a digital copy. Each to their own. Blizz hard copies are daft as you need a heap of additional patches before you can start anyways.

      • +2

dvd.co.uk remove the VAT at checkout, which makes it £34 delivered ($55).

        • -6

fair enough, but it's not digital version so we do not compare that. People can go buy from there if they like if they don't mind wait for weeks. So it is still your choice where you want to buy it from :)

          Cheers

        • How big is the download?

        • It's a few gig once you download the 6mb installer but it's really fast as it uses good servers. (Make sure you turn the P2P off as we have all said since it seems to make it slower for us Aussies.)

        • how do you remove the VAT? do you have to enter your card details first?

        • Yep.

        • Where did you see 39.99? It's 49 ATM?

        • Looks like Bargains4All might have grabbed the last one…the £49 one is a private seller.

    • +1

Cheers mate! I just bought it from them : ). I was about to purchase it from Ozgameshop but the price increased from around $60~ to $73.

  • Just paid under name Tony Jeon

      Hi Tony Jeon

  • paid under name Xin Li :)

    thanks

  • whats the difference between buying a US version and AU/UK/EU ect.?

    • No practical difference between English language versions at all - you can play on whichever server you like, and the real money auction house is locked to your Battle.Net account location, not your game key. However, Blizzard recently introduced a language lock so that if you purchase a Russian copy (for example), you are forced to play in Russian.

      • ^^^^^ Correct.

And there is difference between server patch time too but as long as you download the US english client not EU client then you are good :) The key when you activate it will show GLOBAL.

        Cheers

        KG

  • so is there still a 2.9% charge on paypal?

    • -1

      Yep.

  • +1

You can also buy the key direct from blizzard for US$59.99…

  • you can avoid all this ozbargain scrutiny by just incorporating your expenses into your selling price
i.e. raise your selling price by $1/$2
then offer a % discount for paying via bank transfer (e.g. the customer just transfers $1/$2 less)
this way you arent charging extra "handling" fees

  • is this diablo on AUS server? cos my brother wants it and apparently if its EU or US then he cant play with his friends? :S

    • +1

No. AUS players play EU, US, or ASIA servers. Just tell your brother to play on the same servers as his friends.

  • Ken, I'm not quite clear on your description. Are you selling boxed copies or CD keys for digital copies?

Why is there a back order if it's digital? Are you selling physical copies? If so, why do you label it as CD KEY?

    • Hi Lostn,

The stock coming in tomorrow is a digital stock, no box will be given. But we have boxes left before when our digital stock went out of stock(we remove the cd key from the box and send it to customers). That is why we have the box only for sale for $2 before.

We have boxes left so if you purchase the cd key and also want the box to keep you can pay the postage and we will ship them to you. The CD KEY and the box is separate.

The back order is digital because we only get the digital stocks tomorrow. We still have a couple hundred boxes left(EU) from the previous stock. We also getting physical copies in but not so soon because the supplier in EU is still out of stock.

      Thanks
      KG

      • Do you mean tomorrow as in the 14th? or the 15th?
I just purchased two an hour ago and was wondering when I'd get the cd keys :)

        • US supplier said will send us the stock today (Their 13th) So i assume we should receive it sometime tomorrow….otherwise the day after :)

          Cheers

          KG

        • +1

Stocks confirmed - all orders will be complete by the end of the day today :)

    Thanks

  • Is this still in stock?
So what is the paypal fee?

  • +1

I cancelled my UK order and ordered here. :D

  • what are the payment fees? I hate fees.

    • Most customer used bank transfer and email us the screen shoot of original transfer receipt from the bank. Then get the code instantly :) Otherwise, 2.9% payment handling fees for other payment options.

      Thanks

      KenGamer

      • So you accept screenhot of transfer confirmation from other local Australian banks (non NAB or CBA) for instant delivery?

        • Yes - just make sure they are legitimate receipt :)

          Thanks

        • +1

Cheers! That was quick and easy!
