      You can buy brand new ear cups for $70 from Apple.
      I imagine they would have done this already as part of the restoration process.

  Just returned mine from Apple store. It took me 5 days to notice the moisture buildup behind the ear cushions. Get it from Apple, you have 7 days to return it in case something happens and optional Applecare+ for peace of mind.
