So i just checked the website after entering my most recent bill details and it tells me based on my usage Powershop different plan is the cheapest. So round and round we go?
do you have a seniors card 60 plus
no i dont
What would be your recommendation for a seniors card holder?
there was a good energy australa on site 22 percent below reference, not sure if still there
I had a look, its now only 7 percent below with 25 sign up credit, agl is there now too, the same 7 percent but with 100 sign up credit
Lazy post. Needs to use a comparison website, like https://www.energymadeeasy.gov.au/
Those sites just aren't accurate. I tried using them and they don't come back with up to date data before concluding I needed to do my own comparison.
Same issue here, many of the top rated ones were flat out worse or only better in specific conditions.

Make sure to claim the $70 - $100 on cashrewards for switching energy provider if you can.
Thanks will definitely check this out. Might be worth it even though its still showing me Powershop to be the cheapest usage wise.
I recently spent some time getting the data from the the top 10 green electricity providers ( https://greenelectricityguide.org.au/ ) in my area of NSW, Powershop came out the cheapest by about $30/quarter for me based on our actual time of day usage. We have standard sized, 10 year old solar panels on our roof.
Quarterly actual costs for our usage if we used each provider.
Powershop 249.4067
Nectr 277.381
Red 279.764
CoPower 284.92
Local Energy 294.34
Diamond 346.866
Momentum too expensive at a glance
Indigo too expensive at a glance
Mojo not offered in my area of NSW
Notes:
Where there were subscription fees for suppliers, I added that expense to the daily fee
Where there were tiers of solar FiTs, I averaged it out based on the tiering
Ethically I wish I could go with Diamond, but money is just too tight for me right now.
If you sign up for Powershop, use ozbargain's referral links for a $75 discount off your first bill.
