    • drive-through / store- one and the same. Tho I might collect my whoppers from the window still as a gesture in good faith, avoiding any issues.

  • What are the participating stores?

  • +6

For those out west sydney - out of Guildford, Granville, Auburn and Paramatta, only Granville and Paramatta stores accept this deal.

    • Since when did Guildford have HJ :O

      • Woodville Road, Merrylands.

  • +4

Bendigo store not participating. Were pretty rude about it too.

  • THERES NO FREE LUNCH - why do i have to return to fb to comment on my eperience? what if i dont like it and the co. can delete my negative exp. so whats the point then? lol

    • … even with it proving favorable, it is unlikely I'll go back for seconds ( $6 ) in July.
      Decent sample though.

  • +1

I just tried out the word document above. They accepted it not a problem in Moorabbin Hungry Jacks.

Nice burger but far too small for me. I am still hungry after having it. I would want it about 50% to 100% bigger.

    • +1

Make sure you return to Facebook to tell them!

  • +1

Thanks op. Got one today. My HJ's are doing $1 milkshakes, so $2 for a burger and a drink (which you can refill with softdrink as well :D)

Although i'd still prefer the $2 whopper and fries, good deal op.

  • can you use it multiple times? ie, once a day for example ? or is it just like a voucher?

  • Thanks Op. I bought one today at the Darlington store in SA.

Burger is quite small, and is worth trying for $1. Not sure if I'll have another while $2 whoppers are around.

  • Where is the $2 whopper? Is it still available or its from the scoopon vouchers?

  • +1

Got one today; they're tiny Worth $1 for sure, but I wouldn't ever buy for any more than $2 after this deal is over - it's barely bigger than a cheeseburger.

EDIT: For 'healthy' peeps; the wraps have more KJs than the Burger.

  • I used the generic print out today at Oxford St, no problems.
The burger was nice, but a little small IMO. One burger isn't quite enough for my lunch (I don't do fries or sugary drinks) though at 1300kj.

  • Just used this with the $2 whopper and fries with no problem, besides the shift manager looking a bit annoyed with us lol.

    Hungry Jacks Aspley btw.

I showed the pic on phone

    And they accepted

But the counter girl was young and didn't know what was going on

  • +2

    just tried, not that tasty…
round chicken is better or just go for the Macs chicken cheese..

  • Decent wrap.. easily pay $2-$3

  • +2

Damn you OZB, you've turned me into a fat sh*t!

Had one of these the other day (the burger), and it was ok.

The picture had 2 slices of tomato, and i only got 1 small slice, of under-ripe tomato.

The chicken breat pattie was very pale, white in colour, with fake looking grill lines accross it. There's no way this chicken was grilled, no colour on it apart from the fake grill lines which were very thin burnt stripes that made no indent into the meat. It must have been hit with a grill line marking tool for a few seconds. The chicken was a touch rubbery too. Very different chicken pattie to the one in the picture.
The light mayo was nice, the bun was nice.

    Definately worth $1 though, cheers!

    • I'd say the 'grill lines' are food colouring added in the factory.

Had a burger & a wrap yesterday at 2 stores.
The freshly cooked burger was great - tasty manufactured patty looked like chicken tenderloins - tasty & tender, there was plenty of tomato etc, & the mayo was tasty.
Next store - overcooked rubbery patty, almost no salad or mayo in the wrap - dry, terrible, & thin wrap.

So ask for a freshly cooked one wih plenty of salad & mayo - so much better.

      • Wynyard ones are craply made.

    • What size is 'TenderGrill® Burger' ? Is it same size as Veggie Whooper?
    • Does this "TenderGrill® Burger or Wrap " include Chicken ?
    • Does this "TenderGrill® Burger or Wrap " include veggie (only)?
  • Got 8 burgers last night..
    I feel fat.

  • this one worked again, different girl another free burger today

suppose you can always go to a different HJ as well
pity they are not doing the Penny Pincher deals at my local HJ

anyone have luck with that deal??

    • +3

Free? How? I want free ones!

  • Horrible horrible burger. For $1, probably right price. $5.95, doubt anyone would buy this.

  • +1

Just tried it. Not the best. I would feel so ripped off if I paid full price for it. Reminded me of an small oporto burger without the chilli or mayo. Very very plain. Just hope I don't get salmonella.

    • Had it again today. too much mayo. Felt all greasy and crap after it. Tasted completely different to yesterdays. Bleh.

  • This is expired now. There are no coupons left.

    • What? Only 40,000! So probably only 40k available on their system. Get in quick to redeem.
OK tasting if not overcooked (otherwise rubbery & tough). Ask for a freshly cooked one. Its your $1.

    Use the word doc

  • I saw that its expired now ( 40,000 claimed · 0 available)

But rest easy that thanks to user johnno07 for this word document version which you can edit your own name in: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/15252451/HJs%20facebook.doc

Canberra stores are accepted… I ate it already buuuurrr (burping) :) Thanks mate…

  • Is this real chicken or formed chicken?

    • +2

Wondered that - texture wasn't right for chicken, and no chicken I have had goes rubbery.
So manufactured meat, with artificial grill marks I guess.

      • Yeah it was a bit… odd hey? I also noticed that the meat had formed around airbubbles so I'm almost certain it had not come straight from the chicken haha. Tasted fine though.

        • right! you just put me off thanks!

  • had another one tonight.. might be onto something here

  • Mine wasnt the best. i showed them on my phone with the blank name.

they wouldnt allow a 1dollar shake though.
    springvale store.

will try my luck now at the parkmore store. feeling peckish.

  • Anyone tried reusing these at the same store? HJ's seem pretty lax with coupons lately..

    • Absolutely - no problem. But only 40,000 emails were sent out, so am wondering if deal is limited to first 40,000 purchases at $1??

      • +1

Nah they're point of sale system isn't smart enough for that.

  • I tried this voucher in Auburn Hungry Jacks (near Parramatta rd). It was not accepted. Poor

  • Tried this at Westfield Parramatta was delicious. But one is not enough it's a bit on the small side.

  • This thing tasted like a sweaty breast implant i.e. bad :(

    • +1

I bet you really tasted that before

    • I'll never be able to eat one of these without that thought - thanks a lot!

    • +1

If you've claimed the offer the terms and conditions require you to post this information on the Hungry Jacks Facebook page.

  • +3

had it today for $1. It's not as bad as everyone makes out but definitely not worth $6.

  • Not a bad burger, great that you can use the email on phone rather then having to print out

  • Had one today, didn't like it! The chicken tasted so bland and didn't look appetizing, could only taste the onions. Definitely not worth buying at $6.

  • +1

I used the word doc to print our one for me and one for my little one. No problem redeeming both in same transaction at Innaloo WA.

I thought they were both quite large. Maybe not $6 large, but I am not normally a fast food consumer.

My daughter chose the burger and liked it, but she was very hungry. She did mention that she liked the chicken burger at a theme restaurant better.

I had the wrap. I thought it was quite flavourless. I ate a little less than half, but that filled me up.

This is one instance where I think a good shake of the salt shaker would not go astray.

I think if they put some spicy sauce on there, they could achieve the same nutritional result with a lot more flavour.

I will print and keep 4 in my glove box in case we are out and about and she wants something, but other than that, not really interested.

We went and saw Brave 3D tonight. It was pretty good and a bit scary for a kids show.

    • I think if they put some spicy sauce on there, they could achieve the same nutritional result with a lot more flavour.

Having it spicy IS an option.

    189g Tendergrill Chicken Burger - 1316 kJ (15% DI)(per dollar)
    200g Tendergrill Chicken Wrap - 1520 kJ (17% DI)(per dollar)

    280g Whopper - 2882 kJ (33% DI)

    74g (Small) French Fries - 999 kJ (11% DI)

$2 Iprimus HJ deal gets you 3881 kJ (44% DI) (or in the OzBargainer dialect, 1940.5 kJ per dollar)

That's one of the reasons why many may be left feeling less satisfed than expected with this deal.

Admittedly, most of the kJ in the Whopper alone are due to fat (40.7 g fat x 37 kJ/g = 1506 kJ), so it's kind of cheating.

  • I used this word document for more than 5 times and it worked in couple of stores in Canberra. But I am not happy with the quality and taste of the burger. It is too much to pay $6.(regular price)

  • +1

Way too pricey at 6$ for its size. Didnt come close to filling me up. I cant believe there is someone on here that got filled up with half the wrap???!!! WOW!

  • This burger is not worth anywhere near $6, for that price I will expect a combo meal with chips and drinks to go with it. Taste of the burger is barely acceptable. It's a relatively small burger and the veggies are sparsely scattered on the burger. The piece of chicken was struggling to fill the bun, and I was finding it difficult to taste the chicken with each bite. The chicken itself is barely grilled, probably hence the name tendergrill. You could tell the chicken was boiled or steamed prior to applying the charred edges. Great for mass production, but does little to enhance the taste. As a result you will get an ordinary piece of chicken, with a hint of burnt taste, but will be very moist to eat. For $1, it's worth a try, but for $6, it's not worth to eat.
