Yeah, that's like EA's Origin recent "Storewide" sale, the exclusion list didn't leave much that was actually on sale.
Target Essentials is what hurts. All the basic rompers, jumpsuits, singlets, etc are "Target Essentials" and excluded from sales. And it's not like they're not super cheap to begin with.
And BTW their new MD thinks their product is "premium" and plans to "position the brand higher" to enable them to increase prices. ROFL… Do kids still refuse to let their parents dress them in Target clothes?
Check out the site before judging too harshly - lots of good Bonds gear at good discounts. Its a shame it doesn't include everything but its still a bargain imo :)
I'm glad Target are heading down a higher brand position, K-mart seem to have gone the other way and a once quality store, stocking some good brands seems to have become an oversized 2 dollar shop!
The problem with the Target strategy - if it goes ahead - is that they plan to charge more for the same product, presumably by making the stores look fancier or something.
Saw this first hand on the weekend. Has been over a year since I was last in a KMart store, but it was a horrible shambles. Untidy, stock all over the place, very poor quality.
So that leaves 3 t-shirts and a pair of socks.
