I don't know what you are talking about.

      Your family jewels!

    • my eneloops would love this case

  • Nice find. Good item to own I think. Grabbing one

Doesn't seem to be fireproof does it

    • Fireproof will be very heavy.

    • +1

fireproof safes usually need to be filled with concrete/brick or some other dense insulation which is extremely heavy. This safe is more for shock & water protection.

      • -4

Weight has nothing to do with how fireproof something is.

        • +5

I didn't say weight makes something fireproof.

          • -4

            @hq: Yes you did

fireproof safes usually need to be filled with concrete/brick or some other dense insulation which is extremely heavy

            • -1

              @spaceflight: Yeah nah, he didn't.
              Just let it go.

              • +1

                @Spendmore: Yeah, he did.

                • @spaceflight: Where did he write "weight makes something fireproof"?
He did write fireproof safes are usually lined with heavy things.
The votes suggest that others think that also.

                  • @Spendmore: "fireproof safes usually need to be filled with concrete/brick … which is extremely heavy”

All safes are normally filled with concrete/brick.

However that does not make them fireproof.

                    • @spaceflight: You are grasping at straws here 😂.
Also all safes are not normally filled with concrete or brick.

                      • @Spendmore: You clearly have no idea what a fireproof safe is, or even how insulation works.

                        Remove fireproof to have
"safes usually need to be filled with concrete/brick … which is extremely heavy”"
                        Is correct.
That does not make them fireproof.

Heavy, dense materials are not the best fireproof materials.

Fireproof safes use double walls, insulation like fibreglass or special fire retardant gels/cauk.
These are not heavy materials but make the safe fireproof.

                        • +3

@spaceflight: Your argument was he said weight makes something fireproof.
You have been called out as wrong because he didn't so have now drifted away from that rather than admit you are wrong… That's just weak.
FYI quality safes use Pyrogel insulation which isn't too heavy but is dense like hq said.

Remember you accused him of saying weight makes something fireproof…..he didn't say that😂

                          • -1

                            Says otherwise.

                            • +3

@spaceflight: That doesn't by any stretch of a sane imagination say "weight makes things fireproof"

    $12.50 each Adelaide - Postcode 5085

    • Kent Town has it for $19. Apparently prices are typically higher at that store because it is not a 'warehouse'.

      • +5

I'm not sure why the customer deserves to be slugged extra for such a disappointing store

    • Got one on order. Thanks!

  • +1

Bought to use as a watch case but couldn't see if it has any foam filling. Assuming not if not listed?

    • +1

On the total tools website it shows it with foam.

    • +1

If the same one on Kincrome site it does

  • +2

Thanks, OP, Bought one for store cold backup hard disk, but not sure if the size suitable for disks, as the normal 3.5 hard disk is around 145x100x25mm and the 120mm may be too tight. Anyone has used it for similar job?

    • +2

      Just found internal measurements: 300 x 220 x 90mm, wish I didn't buy first think later…

      • it should fit 2 hdds.

        • Or 12

I thought inflation would stop me
      But FOMO was stronger

Also cba bank app is crapping itself ATM so took me a while to get my online order in :@

xmas presents to fellow ozbargainers who missed out….

  • PowerPass shows it as “Out of stock” and $137.75 Whilst website shows the above details?

  • I don't think they will fulfil this. It lets you purchase 999 in the cart at most stores

  • Haha, powerpass shows it as 137.50 down from 150. Yet normal retail site has it for 15. I'm wondering if this is a price error?
Edit: I see someone else has pointed this out above. Sorry for dupe comment.

  • +1

Lame, $145 when trying to checkout.

  • Anyone with 28D price protection game to buy elsewhere and price match?

  • +3

Just updated back to $145 for me, didn't pull the trigger fast enough
Anyone that ordered one, report back if they are delivered and if the price was honoured!

    • and here i am taking 30min thinking if i have a use for it yet pulled the trigger anyways to buying one, hope theu fufill it then andi can use it for my dslr.

      • Yeah, I need to become more ruthless when pulling the trigger!
That said, Bunnings website was flaky when I tried to order, so I went to have dinner and when I came back she was $145

        • damn what a shame, yeah we learn hard way on ozbargain, I'll trigger, think later especially with returns being easy on most products if unused in new condition.

  • How many stacks of $100 bills can it hold?

  • showing $145 for me in Melbourne

    • Why the negs? Also showing at $145 here in Adelaide too.

    • +1

      Still waiting.

  • Same

  • What's going on with this, has anyone tried contacting them

    • Waiting game

    • +4

Went in on Tuesday to be told that they are due in-store soon.

      • +1

I just assumed we wouldn't hear anything back until they arrived in-store or the orders got cancelled. But that is good to know.

      • +1

Also told they were not far off.

        • I did delivery so hoping to get an email about shipping.

    • I called the 1800 number and someone had a look at my order. Then went away and came back to say that someone else will call me back about the order.

  • +4

Got an email from bunnings saying it was a pricing error, but they'll honor it.

Unfortunately, we discovered the product was incorrectly priced on our website at the time you placed your order and should have been priced at $145. While we made a genuine mistake in listing this item at the incorrect price, we always try to do the right thing by our customers and we wanted to let you know that we are honouring the price on your order.

We are pleased that we will be able to fulfill your order, however there will be a slight delay in delivery. We anticipate you’ll receive your order by the end of next week.

    • That's some pricing error! I got the same msg

      • Same. Thanks Bunnings and OP

    • +1

      Nothing received here.

      • ditto. no email from bunnings for me. :(

        • Me neither (SA)

  • I received an email to call them Monday morning (SA) 🤔

    • Still nothing heard here in Adelaide.

Can you please let us know how the call goes?

      • +1

got the call this morning. they will be honouring only 1 per order and refunding any additional units purchased.

  • +1

Also got a call (NSW). Said supplier didn't have enough stock. Offering a replacement of this one: https://www.bunnings.com.au/craftright-465-x-360-x-175mm-saf… Take it or leave it, offer only good for next 60 customers.

    • I got that offer via email - looks like a decent case (bit bigger than the op listing and probably well worth it for $22!)

      • Craftright are garbage quality compared to the kincrome, i wouldnt buy it even at that price.

    • Bought mine through the Windsor Gardens store here in Adelaide.

I received the same offer and happy to take one for $12.50.

The quality is not the same as the Pelikan cases that I have (but a fraction of the price) and perfectly adequate for what I want this one for.

      Many thanks to the OP.
