Dewalt DWST83411-1 TSTAK 2.0 3-in-1 Stackable Storage Tool Box - $189 Pick up @ Sydney Tools

290

Was searching around for a Tool Box and found this one.
Did some research and reviews are pretty good.
RRP seems to be around $300, with a average market price of around $250.

This is the cheapest I was able to find anywhere @ $189! Seem like a pretty good bargain to me!

Picked mine up and pretty happy (expect, I have too much $#17 and need another!) ha!

*Update - Bunnings have updated the webpricing and are offering the same unit for the same price now. if you have PP might be worth grabbing there instead. Be aware, from the quick search i've just done - there is next to no stores with stock on hand thought (Bunnings). Sydney Tools seem to have some thought.
Happy hunting!

Got this from Costco a while back. Looks to be the exact some one. Says Dewalt Tstak Tower on the receipt but it may have been called something else in-store. Got it for $149.99 back in early 2021.

Edit: Think it's really good even if it's a little overkill for someone as hopeless on the tools as me. Keeps most of my stuff in the one place.

  • One thing that I've done since buying this was to get some zip bags like these.

I wouldn't get the Dewalt ones now at least not at this price. I think I got the pair for around $22. The top tool box is really just one compartment. I didn't want my various tools slip sliding around in there and getting banged up. I don't really move it around much I guess but it's also nice to just be able to get out the one bag that hold all my screwdrivers/allen keys or the other bag that has all my wrenches and pliers. No need to carry the whole box around the house or keep going back to the tool box.

    • hahaha - aint they just over priced pencil cases? :)

Pretty much. But they are a little stronger? I'm a bit of a sucker for having my stuff look a certain way. :P

          I totally understand! Its not OCD… Its Perfectionism… :)

I'm not sure but is this possibly comparable to the Bunnings one for $159?

Similar - had been looking at the Stanley and Tactix in store at Bunnings earlier in the day.
Found the Stanley to be better that the Tactix, and was about to buy it. However, was on the motorbike and it would have been a laugh and a half trying to carry the thing home. Anyways, did a bit of googling and found the DeWalt. IMO - the DeWalt was better than the Tactix in terms of finish and materials. the Tactix seems a little on the cheaper side.
The Stanley was comparable, but $230. So at $180, I was buying the DeWalt all day!
Going to pick up another tool case/bin compartment tomorrow to add to it. I have a bad habit of going to Bunnings and buying another "X" whatever, when i cant find the one I need within the first 5 mins… so, 4 drills, 2 jigsaws, etc… hahahha

      • I just found this Stanley one for $190, might be similar to the DeWalt one? Not sure which one to go for now haha.

        • Much of a muchness… I think they are near the same. just different brands. They are both TStack's.

I had looked at trying to find that Stanley one sometime ago but there was no stock…
This is the Stanley i had looked at in bunnings: https://www.bunnings.com.au/stanley-fatmax-4-in-1-folding-wo…
I've also just noticed that Bunnings have matched the Sydney Tools price on the DeWalt. So if you have a powerpass, it will work out a little cheaper.

I'mm go pick up a bucket bin from Bunnings tomorrow and use my PP instead of going back to Sydney Tools. Just seems most bunnings dont have any stock though, thats all.

  • Thanks mate

  • I got these from Costco when they were on special. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/574060
I absolutely love them, most of my common use tools fit in there perfectly.
However, as I am a very low level home handyman, others may not feel the same.

  • looks like this one

  • Bunnings have had this price for as long as I've been looking (about 2 weeks) and I've only found a couple of stores in Sydney that have stock.
Same situation with all the DeWalt TSTAK cases, hardly any stock around at bunnings, Sydney Tools have them but prices aren't as sharp.
Although ST does have a good combo set with the double drawers + tool case for $110 but seems to be unobtainable anywhere.

  • Thanks for posting this, I picked one up…. need a few more TStak deals now.

I feel like I need a few drill cases and maybe a soft tote? Can anyone recommend one?
