Looks like there is some screw/bolt on the 2nd photo. On the side of the cover. Undo it?

*** turn off the power before attempting

Also this appears to be an inbuilt led

That or learn from experience :).

"That’s or learn from experience :)."

I don't want to have a hair style like the guy in back to the future ha ha ha..

  • Uually there is a screw cover underneath. Alternatively the casement might clip off, exposing both light fittings.

If in doubt, give it a tug… 😏

Isn't there a screw halfway up the left side in the second photo?

  • When was it installed? If in the last 5 years, it may not have a replacable bulb.

Most LED fixtures sold these days are not designed with replacement bulbs in mind. When it breaks, you yeet the whole lot

    • Is that true?

      That's such a stupid thing.

I was hoping to replace the existing globe with a wifi globe so that lights will come on every evening and turn off in the morning automatically.

With a fixed led globe, I cannot see that there would be a workaround… :-(

      • Ymmv but maybe smart switch so the switch can be scheduled (or do it old school and have a timer installed).

      • This would do it
Even if it could be replaced, it would be a halogen based on the shape and that the reflector is integrated with the light housing. There aren't any smart halogen replacements afaik.

… lights will come on every evening and turn off in the morning

Is it so hard to turn em on when you go to bed, and off when you go to work?

Looks like a halogen to me.

      • Was thinking the same. Then the question is MR16 or GU10.
I would replace them though. They use a lot of energy.

    • I had my kitchen light die a few years ago, and had to replace it. Whole fixture is like $30, but the electrician was more. It's died again already, very sad.

  • Screw on the side x2. If its not a screw try to spread the back of the cover, maybe it clips on.

    See what happens next.

  • OP, remove th two screws on either side and look for any hidden ones( doubt there would be more) and the cover would easily come off or would need a gentle pull or slide up if it is held by clips. I'm 90% certain what you'd find would be two halogen GU10 globes inside each fixture. Make sure you replace those with LED GU10 to save power. If you want to take the smart path then yes there are also smart GU10 globes which usually connect to smartlife /Tuta via wifi. As mentioned above you can also install smart switches but won't be a cheap retrofit, needing to have an electrician involved.

Looks like both lights are on, if it were me I'd wait until they were both not working before doing anything.

  • I called the manufacturer. Integrated LED.
