Instant Vortex Mini Air Fryer 2L Black or Red

These air fryers seem to be highly regarded. I would have preferred the bigger brother but it is too large for my kitchen bench space.

Not as cheap as the recent Amazon deal but that was a once off.

I bought a black one.

How much food can you fit into the 2L container? e.g. half chicken? 1/4 chicken? or only 2-3 chicken drumsticks

    • 2 dim sims

      Amazon Q&A says container is 2 litres or 15cm x 15cm x 5cm (with an appropriate gap).

I have one. Downgraded in terms of size from Tefal. It is small. E.g. you can fit 4 drumsticks. It was meant to be a temp purchase but I love it. Only thing I am not sure about my one is the back two feet are meant to have rubber on it? It moves around when closing. Put my own rubber sticky thing.

  • Is this better than the Mistral Air Fryer? Got one for from woolies for $49. Thanks

I have one of these and use it almost every day. After a year it's going very strong.
I only cook for two people including myself and it's sometimes a squeeze.
Would not recommend for 3+ people.
For context - 12 minutes for a perfectly cooked chicken breast every time, around 6 minutes for bacon.
I don't use it for any chicken nuggets, french fries etc but I imagine it would be awesome.

  • I use this every other day. It’s a perfect size for 1. Going to do some veggies in it tonight!

  • FYI $12 Delivery to my North Queensland Address

      • Damn. Would have been cheaper with Prime. I bought the red one.

        • The Prime price only dropped today.

Tempted to buy this but am hanging out for the 4qt (3.79L) version to get released in Australia, if it ever will.

        • Yeah, I looked for that one but nope.

  • Okay, instant fail. I looked at the video, and it's a single 'basket' with a removable insert. I have one like that already - a 'Healthy Choice', and the coating is already breaking down. It also doesn't cook as well as the previous cheapy which had a separate basket.
    Just my ¢2…

    Mine arrived today from Corelle.

Seems like a quality unit with a decent sized basket.
