It's essentially a brandless charger. A company that has no accountability to selling bad products, essentially no financial liability, and no brand to protect.

You'll get whatever comes off the manufacturing line. Could be well made, could be not.

The odds of it burning your house down, not really high. The odds of it damaging your device…a bit higher. Charging a $50 raspberry pi? Sure maybe ok. Charging a $1500 iPhone? No way I'd do it.

      • For the person who downvoted, care to explain instead?

        • I dunno maybe he just witnessed 2 of his co-workers get crushed by the conveyor belt

I have bought 2 of these and both USB C’s stop working.. Now as the poster said it’s luck of the draw but I am not angry, it’s a risk you take. Bought a dual Belkin A&C USB for $24 on eBay with a usb c cord for $24 if you look and it is great..

  • only down side for me is low charger power , lots of these smaller type ones already, but it is SAA approved so has been tested to not hold a flame and has had thousands of volts sent through it to make sure it doesn’t arc and make llethal voltages appear in the usb port.

interesting when belkin claim to have manufactured 55 million chargers, and they aren’t even the market leader, just a known brand as they also make other accessories.

you would need one hell of a lot of failed chargers to make it to 1% ….like 500,000 failed ones ….. and that would me news / recall material.

SAA means it can’t hold a flame as it’s a test hence material casing, and has had thousands of volts sent through it to test for arcing, etc, not a cheap process,

i have 2 out of many chargers that have a faulty port , but that is just what can happen cables get plugged and unplugged or forced in upside down by kids.

i have had power boards spark spark because chinese pins are thinner than au pins.

if it has SAA the likely hood of it burning down your house is smaller than the other chinese non approved stuff you have gotten off ali or ebay burning down your house.
