look about as comfortable as pushing a potato into your ear .

you'll have to speak louder, i'm wearing a potato in my ear

Surely these are just original device manufacturer earbuds in a fancy case with a fancy logo on it?

Surely someone's not stupid enough to pay full price for these?

In the case of a more reputable brand, it's probably designed in house at the very least. I doubt you'd find the product available from another seller with different branding.

Personally, I don't think they're at a point on the cost/value curve but do understand why people would buy them.

surely a Hifi company who has been designing and building headphones for 20 years and speakers for 70 years aren’t designing audio products themselves

      What a weird assumption.

        Arrogant and ignorant too.

I wonder how they compare to Sennheiser MTW 2/3

MTW3 I bought from the good guys commercial at $292, but to my personal feeling this one is better.

      • any experiences with CX Plus True Wireless?

        • Sorry haven’t used that, cannot share any opinion.

B&W C5 in-ear headphones were some of the best I’ve owned. I’m interested in these, just not sure if it can be replicated wirelessly.

    • Oh man I feel your pain. C5s were the best ones I've owned and would kill to have some wireless in-ear buds that could hold a candle to them. Wired the SE225s were very, very good straight out of the box; SE425s needed an amp to make them great.

I use XM3s and Jabra 65ts. Whilst they are good (Sony for sound, Jabra for fit) they pale in comparison to the C5s. I used mine the other day after quite some time and forgot just how good they are. I still happen to have one boxed pair of C5 s2's sitting around

I'm very tempted by these because of how much I love the C5s

  • I have the PI5 and is better than Sony xm4 and AirPod pro( beats fit pro) in my opinion, however fit is issue , it fell out sometime and especially when I go for run with them . But sounds quality is best within wireless buds in my opinion

My 2c…. I have the MTW2, MTW3, Sony XM4, buds pro and was looking to buy these recently to compare and decide on a final set to keep. Just make sure you check out all the reviews. They are meant to sound great, but be aware they are an older model and the battery life is 2.5 to 4 hours in most tests which ended up being a deal breaker for me. Does anyone have any real life battery experience? There is also no EQ from memory, maybe that has changed. They supposedly are tuned quite neutral already but not having an EQ might be an issue if you decide to change tips etc. I think there are better all round alternatives at this price that are very similar or just marginally less in sound quality but offer a lot more elsewhere.

Which one do you think it's the best so far?

I really haven't found the perfect bluetooth buds, probably why I have accumulated a few

Buds pro 1 sound artificial and soulless despite the advanced codec on Samsung and the fit is so uncomfortable for me (big boof head) as well as my partner (smaller than average head) because there is so much plastic that touches your ear. They are my least favourite.

MTW2 sound really nice, good sound stage, natural sounding, stock tips I find comfortable, but after an hour or so begin to cause pressure due to plastic against your ear and the heavy weight and become uncomfortable.

With some EQ tweaking (less bass and more treble) the MTW3 sound much better to my ears thatn MTW2 and are the most comfortable of the bunch due to their new shape and reduced weight. But, with this new shape it's easier to make accidental touches on the touch pads. I also found the stock tips too flimsy on MTW3 with a worse seal than MTW2. The best tips have been the Comply Isolation 500 which create such a good seal for me it dramatically increases the bass volume and accuracy to the point where it needs to be reduced by 6dB to sound anything close to flat.

The Sony XM4 technically sound the best and the LDAC codec is great (I only have Aptx on Samsung for the Sennheisers, not Aptx Adaptive). But something about the upper mids and treble sounds artificial and harsh compared to the MTW3, even with the treble reduced and tips with thicker foam wax guard. MTW3 are more natural sounding to me, have sweeter sounding treble even without hi res codec, but lack the detail of the Sonys in the mids and lows. Sony's tips are awful for my ears - they sound great and provide excellent isolation but the foam is noticibly harder than other foam tips. I found silicon tips like Spinfit too soft and weak to get a good seal, maybe because the earbuds are so heavy. The best again were the Comply Isolation 500 which just seem to suit my ears best and are way softer than the stock foam tips. They are also long, so the only thing inside your ear is the foam tip rather than plastic from the earbuds.

It's really at that point where some songs sound better on the Sonys and other songs sound better on the Sennheiser MTW3. It's also a tossup in other areas. Noise isolation and battery just slightly better on the Sonys. Sony buds are built better but are heavier and less comfortable. The MTW3 case is built better, but then it's heavier and much larger and I prefer the Sony's case.

I really cant decide between them at the moment, was hoping these B&W would be a good all rounder but reviewes are pretty horrible in a couple of important areas. Though I have not tried them myself so can't comment from experience.

        • I would assume the closest to perfect would be the MTW3 with a phone that supports Aptx Adaptive, but I don't have this
