I was actually looking for Asus RT-AC86u, but found this ASUS RT-AX92U which looks on par with or better than RT-AC86u. It got really good reviews too.
I'm quite surprised noone post this deal. It looks like a really good deal to me. The only issue is you have to use power adapter as this would be UK power plug. Am I missed anything?

I have 4 of AX92U in my 2 storey house as a mesh network. No issues so far after 2 years. Regular firmware and security updates. Being tri-band its great with reception. The mobile App is also very good. The CPU in this router is 64bit A53 Broadcom BCM4906, and is much better than some the lower quality CPUs in more expensive routers.
I feel like the OzB consensus is, if it's not like half price people don't want the hassle of warranty & international power plug.
That's good point. I was debating myself for a whole day if I should buy this. Agree the saving isn't much.

This is an excellent guide on selecting a new router. See section 17 Recommendation and appendix B Reference
Thank you , it was a great read . I was feeling outdated regarding wifi / router jargon with so many options out there . I have book marked that page
Also some UK routers have limited wifi bands due to their laws about spectrums.
FYI, my Aus stock AC88U come with 3 or 4different plugs, guess would be the same with this one?
I've had the AU version of this for years now (RT-AC5300, it gets REGULAR security patches and there's a really good modded firmware.
It did have some issues with one 5G channel, but has been solid since turning that off.The onboard TREND IPS is pretty good, largely invisible, although it did mis-identify a shopping site as malicious some days back, but I managed to get that reclassified.
Strong wifi, good throughput on AC. I'm sure ASUS know what they're doing and it's been the best router I've had to date, all the "ISP provided" ones are complete trash and I only use them as repeaters inside my network these days.
Is it concerning that it needs regular security patches?
No, that is ESSENTIAL .
If you have a router , that is not getting regular security patching, you really should replace it.look up "VPN filter" and such types of attack, and you'll get it.
Also if you find your asus restarts randomly like my AX5400 and my previous cheaper one - get a higer amp power supply… once I swapped out the supplied 3a one for 3.5a it's been rock solid
My RT-AC5300 will often restart or lose FTTP connection and require manual reboot - Maybe related to the power supply too? Where did u source your 3.5a PSU?
Sorry, I don't have any great advice, and the Jcar universal ones are pricey, I happened to have one lying around from a battery charger that was the right fit, but definitely might be the issue for you.
I found someone on a forum say so and tried it… before that I wondered why people liked Asus routers when my 2 seemed crap, with losing connection due to soft reboots often
Ooof not enough aerials
Agree.
Minimum is 8
I got the 2-pack mesh version for $479 shipped from Amazon back in April.
Just in time! I was toying with the idea of upgrading my ac68u with ax86u. For about $200 cheaper I hope this would be a capable replacement

Very mixed thoughts.
Wouldn't touch an overseas model under any circumstances.
