Woolworths mobile still does not use volte/ vowifi. Been promising it for 3 years, still nothing apart from excuses and pure bullshit.

Read comments on WP from all the people who can not make a simple phone call.

    • Does not affect millennials, who rarely make voice calls anyway.

      • I make tons of voice calls. What's the issue?

        • Then maybe it's not for you :)

          • @bargaino: I've been using WW mobile for years

            • @SgtBatten: Yep. I have no problems either. 3G coverage is good here.
In the rare event that I have 4G, but voice connect fails, I can always call them back when in range, or use one of the many apps that include voice calls.

              • @bargaino: Right… so the complaint above (not U I know) is location dependant. Thanks for clarifying

@SgtBatten: sorry I misread your question.

Woolworths mobile, like many others, does not include voice over 4G (LTE).
So whenever you make or receive a call, it has to switch to 3G.
Some people have complained about declining 3G coverage.

        • Telstra is removing 3G capacity, replacing often with 5G.

Without volte/ vowifi/ or 3G capability you can not make a call anymore in many places.

  • Coles mobile is lot cheaper than this.

    • +2

Not if you use the grocery discount.

  • ….and they have volte/ vowifi going too, like Telstra & Boost

  • Basically makes sense if you shop at woolworths already (10% off a shop every month).

    Otherwise go Boost.

  • Can you use rewards dollars?

  • +1 for having esim

  • My coles plan expires 30 Oct. Any idea when I need to activate this SIM by?

  • We havent seen any 100% cash back for low value woolies sim card for a while

  • I guess it's only for new users?

    • I don't see any text stating that, but I can only recharge at the old $150 price

  • Last time i was able to get get $30 starter pack and didn't recharged and was able to get 10% at woolworths shopping for 6 months. Tried again and i am no longer getting 10% off , only received for 1 month. I have not ported out number and haven't recharged. Anyone else have any solution?

  • Anyone know if I can port my number from Optus for this one? The option isn't showing up when I go through the cart

    • +1

      Yes

      • +2

I ported from Catch mobile but selected Optus in the dropdown. NO issues with transfer

  • Can i use this to recharge?
