That looks quite good actually. I need to find out how these are compared to the LXT versions
These are LXT. 12V are CXT, 40V are XGT. There's also a more basic 18v series called MT or similar, but I don't think you can get them anymore.
Sydney Tools have Makita roadshow bonus points on right now so if there is something else to buy then Sydney Tools works out cheaper for the 2 battery kit. But with Sydney Tools its a good idea to go into a store to make sure there is stock to buy.
Damn that’s a ripper! $68 more and you get a drill
I've seen an AEG drill and Makita against each other from a builder mate just last week and I was shocked seeing the AEG left the Makita for dead both had 5amp batteries etc .fyi
Which model of AEG vs which model of Makita?
I've got no idea of the models ,they were brand new drills the AEG was bigger than the Makita and a lot louder motor noise .
If the AEG was bigger than the Makita you are comparing apples and oranges. Makita makes bigger drills too and AEG makes smaller ones.
If it was lot louder it was probably a rotary hammer, a completely different tool.
The main difference between brands is not really the size or the loudness. Top models from different manufacturers will be almost equally powerful and loud. It's the durability and reliability that counts.
But what model Makita was it? They have about 15 different drills of varying capacities, AEG have a few different ones as well.
The thing with Makita is they have excellent build quality, great longevity and the massive range of tools. I know someone with the big AEG drill and have had a lot of issues with it.
Ozito one is impressive enough for me, takes lugs of car wheels. 94 for skin. Seen lots of tradies using ozitos, 5 year warranty for non trade use, theirs no trady background checks
and…?
I like aeroplane jelly but so what?
Your move Ozito.
Good deal.
