I actually own these earphones. Bought them in Dec '11 for $160 from JB HiFi. Sound quality is great (i'm no audiophile though). The noise cancelling actually works. I used them on an overseas journey and they were able to cancel out the ambient engine noise no problem. They take one which I only replaced the other day. Not a heavy user of the noise cancelling feature, but I would often leave it on by accident. Also has a handy 'monitor' button. Only downside is the extra weight of the battery module which is in the middle of the cable, and they can get tangled quite easily.
