    $2388 delivered at Catch

    This the same one?

    • Weird that an employee (owner?) of a brand is advertising a discount that is more expensive than Catch reselling it

Is $2599 the price before or after discount? If before, then your deal is cheaper than Catch & you might want to adjust the title/description to match that.

          • @Ham Dragon: "MEARTHBL10 discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart"
so yes way cheaper to buy it on Catch

@JefreyMearth: Ok, no worries, I understand this site is a bit hard to perfect to begin with, maybe you can request to delete this post (use the Talk With a Moderator) function, and before you post, look at some other deals that do really well and read the FAQ for New Merchants and Guide for Store Reps. You'll get much better response if you post according to the guidelines and clearly articulate why your deal is a good one.

  • ILLEGAL IN NSW!!!

    • -1

In Sydney currently and it's interesting to see how there's almost no escooters or euc's because the police crack down on them. While in Melbourne where it's also illegal they're everywhere because police don't have big crackdowns.

      • +1

I see so many and wish I could ride one. It's not worth the $2500 fine and several demerit points for driving an unregistered vehicle tho. Doesn't help that most peeps don't wear helmets and drive like absolute mongs on them.

        • You need to go to Qld or Tas where they're legal. In Tas for example you can take a ferry across the river for free if you're a cyclist or scooter rider, so many people commute that way and save a fortune on parking.

          • +1

@Clear: People ride them in traffic in Brisbane. Driving through the Valley / CBD on a Fri or Sat night is an eye-raising experience, having to avoid drunken morons doubling & tripling up on Beam scooters!

            • @Ham Dragon: I think it's important to separate private riders from public (rental riders). Most and I say most of the private riders know how to do the right thing. Plus they're normally members of Scootmasters or Scooter Squad where they have responsible group rides and teach others how to ride properly.

          • @Clear: I am loving mine,. I have a Kaboo Mantis Pro, 3500 km now after 2 years, sold the car over a year ago, because I can use this and combine it with the train to get to Bris to see family on the north side. I am on the Gold Coast where I live and I am seeing more and more of them. Between the Tram, Train and this, car free is great. My partner rides her scoot to work 4 days a week (8km round trip)

Makes me smile riding past the servo :)

    • According to the info on the page this company is based in Alexandria!

Because you're not responding in a meaningful way, beyond parroting the same crap about the discount ad nauseam, and refusing to clarify if the price listed is before or after discount, I'm going to neg you. As potential leads we shouldn't have to go to these lengths to get a straight answer. Be warned Jefrey, the users of this site do not take shit from company reps. This is your first post, and best opportunity to establish a rapport with the leading deals / bargains wesbite. That's a tonne of leads for free, don't waste the opportunity.

    • Dood this scooter is illegal on public roads in all states lol

      • -1

Legal on Tassie roads under a few conditions. Speed limited to 25km/h which is possible, the road has no median lane and the max speed limit is 50km/h.

        • Oh, I didn't know.
          Thanks, this scooter does 70km/h.
I saw cops in Brisbane at Goodwill Bridge checking speed at the entrance, so yeah the cops do crack down on these things

          • +1

@fadeinthemix: For them to be sold legally they must be speed limited to 25km/h. You then have the option of changing some settings to increase the power to make them faster. If you do that and get caught then you can't blame the store.

My scooter is capable of 60-70km easily but I've speed limited it to much lower to stop myself from being tempted to go faster in risky areas. On my private land however that's a different story.

            • @Clear: I have a segway and its pretty good.
Great for getting around and not having to take the bus

              • @fadeinthemix: Can't fault the Segway. Build quality on those are top notch, unlike Mearth.

  • Can we ride them home from the store?

  • +2

Actual clown advertisement. Joke of a company and OP.

  • I had a mearth scooter, it was slower then every other scooter in that price range, way less then what they claim and died within 6 months. They did swap it for another one but it had problems and had to send back. Sent me new one again, had problems again, I gave up after that and got segaway scooter

  • +3

The listing at Harvey Norman at $2599 also comes with a free Mearth S worth $699.

Makes no sense to buy direct, the HN listing is literally a marketplace listing for Mearth, the OP is intentionally ignoring an offer better elsewhere.

    • +2

Seems like their rep doesn't have the faintest clue about interacting with customers.

  • Flagsgip Electric Scooter

    Flagsgip, awesome !

    The MOST of all.

OMG, the MOST of all, I have to have it

  • Anytime Mearth comes up here I remember the dodgy Segway Max deal from a few years back. Advertised by a different company but the refunds all came from Mearth when you decided not to take the Mearth replacement scooter offer.

  • Seems more like a bot than a human with the relentless potted responses.

  • +1

Mearth is a super dodgy company and their scooters are crap. Made the mistake of upgrading to the Mearth GTS from that failed Ninebot Max deal, battery capacity is already about 40% of its original capacity in like 15months, and with only 400km done, and they refuse to help and claim that's normal

  • +1

No deal and a rep giving useless responses.

  • Cheaper elsewhere.

  • I have a Mearth RS and it's a beast of a scooter the customer support has been good. But this rep not only is posting a deal that he's admitted is incorrect in the comments and the deal is actually a free scooter with the GTS but is providing a 'bot' like a response to the forum. Not taking OzBargin seriously is how you drag your company into the dirt and the rep and marketing team here in Australia need to rethink their marketing plans so make sure a joke of a post like this doesn't happen. I will have to neg this post as Its incorrect, a joke and has bot style responses

  • From what I read on the mearth front page the other day it doesn't sound like he treats his employees very good if it's true.
