  • Dad's in SA miss out!?

    • Aww. Seems like it. No love from the Marion store.

    • They might have updated it. I found the Marion (SA) store and have booked in for 3

Thanks for the update. Seems like it's only on 3.9.22 for Marion though, which conflicts with our show plans. Oh well.

  • The little blighters will probably want to keep the "cards" for themselves.

OP — how do you find out about these?

There was a comment in another thread that there's actually an eventbrite app which you can set to notify whenever there's a Lego store thing on.

Another bonus is the app has a better UI and shows you which sessions are already booked out, without needing to click in and out. Sounds like we should all download the app (I haven't…yet)

Last time my kids attended one of these events.
I got an email about the event this afternoon. (I think they added me to the mailing list.)

So wanted to make sure everyone on here got a look in. As ozbargin is the reason I got a ticket to the last few events.

As deeeno says, you can configure the app to notify as well.

  • What!! No Lego store Robina? Maybe because is run by muppets

    • I got tickets for Robina!

      • Just checked again and got one thanks

        Wasn’t there before tho

  • Got one ticket! Thank you.

  • Thanks OP, got one!

  • Thank you OP

  • So it's a card with a picture of a minifig on it?

    • I assume it’s lego, not paper. These events are a marketing tool to ingratiate children into asking their parents to buy them lego. And, if they become AFOLs then lego hit the jackpot, selling them 2000 piece $470 lighthouses!

      • Jokes on them, I use my kids as an excuse to buy Lego.

  • No highpoint :(

    • there is

  • Have they ever had workshops/events for adults (or no upper age limit)? Asking for a friend…

    • +1

      Yes but pre-pandemic

  • Sold out at Castle Hill

  • Does anyone know what it will look like?

  • Paper card with custom figure taped to it. Figure stands on some bricks with a father's day greeting.

  • 4 different designs of cardboard cards to pick from. Kids get to build a minifigure (options seemed limited) and pick an accessory for it. Figure stands on a 2 x 4 brick, which they will have engraved (if you want) before it is stuck to the front of the card.

Said they might also be running it again next week.
