Probably one of the lower price for this game. Probably worth getting at this price for next year DLC/Expansion. Heard things improved quite a fair bit since Patch 1.5 and it seemed to bug out less on PC than consoles.

Good price, but its gog unless I'm reading it wrong

    • +5

Sr. It is GOG. Will update it now.

  • -2

    cyberballs

    • -3

      cyberflunk

    • +1

Had my characters balls drained in the game

  • +2

any confirmation if the DLC/expansion is going to be paid? in that case I'd rather wait for the "GOTY" edition or whatever

  • +7

Playing it right now on Xbox. Solid as game.

  • +7

Cyberpunk reminds me of Borderlands more than Witcher or GTA. Or maybe a forgettable Ubisoft shooter.

    • +2

I was hoping they would later on release a third person patch as the world seems to be much more detailed than Borderlands. Fingers crossed.

      • -1

Game was supposed to be 3rd Person but changed it a year before the release.

        • +1

          i dont think thats true….

          • +1

@JuryWheel: It was going to be both first person and third person in game and cutscenes. Probably a year before launch they changed it to first person only.

        • +3

Dunno what is is about aging but I'd rather play 3rd person over first every time now

15 years ago, totally other way around

  • +7

I can't believe this has been up for 15 minutes without any 'its still $22 too expensive!' comments

    • +25

      It's still $22?! Too expensive!

      • +10

Thanks man. What would we have done without you?

        • +2

          Bought it for $22?

      • waiting for it to be free!

    • +4

Well we had "cyberballs" from dfg555 above so I'd say close enough.

    • +1

Maybe at launch.. but this isn't bf2042

    • I pre-ordered still haven't played past the make-character screen.

  • +12

    "Probably"
This game is freakin' amazing and anyone still buying into the broken game narrative… well… if you can't say something nice.
Game was never all that broken on PC anyway - i came across very few bugs in my 198 hours of play time, and none that were game breaking.

    • +20

Yes, it was very broken. Stop saying it wasn't, just because it might have worked fine for you. I bought it on PC about a week after release, and it was glitchy dog excrement, full of game-breaking bugs. I 'finished' it in that state anyway, but hated it.

I also didn't buy into the hype before it, so I didn't come in with unreasonable expectations. I had another play-through after the latest patches, but a lot of the original bugs were still there. Yes, it was much improved, but there are still quests I can't complete.
I'm not willing to put any more time into it, new patches/DLC or not.

    • +11

I'm playing it right now and whilst they're not game breaking bugs, there are a few that have popped up that prevent me from completing some side missions. In addition to that the game still suffers from optimisation issues. I'm running it with an RTX3080 and an i7 10700K and in some areas the GPU usage hovers around 60-70% leading to much lower FPS which is incredibly frustrating. Searching online this still seems to be a widespread problem.

      • +1

Yeh i just started playing last week. 3070 and 5800x. I get 80-100 fps without RT, im fine with that.
Sometimes when i pause or open the map il get sudden drop in fps for like 5-10 seconds. Drops to like 20 fps. Then goes back to normal
Altho i find that interacting with npcs is very bland. They mostly dodge you and never fight back. When comparing it to GTA, npcs were very responsive and would fight back and cops would arrest you almost immediately if you ran over a person or two.
And driving around seems desolate at times, not enough other cars on the roads.
So i do see how its still unfinished in regards to npc interactions and the world environment.
Outside of that so far enjoying the game, havent come across tedious broken games elements thats stopping me from playing.

      • Man, still?! There were a couple of missions I couldn't complete at launch that annoyed me the most. So embarrassing that they still haven't fixed those 18 months later.

I was very hyped for this game and was super disappointed it wasn't finished. Anyone who says 'it was fine, it is fine' can read this

        https://gamerant.com/cd-projekt-stock-falls-75-percent-since…

      • I spent a lot of time tweaking settings to get the best visuals and frame rate, it’s ridiculous how little effort they’ve put in to making that easier for gamers, even basic internet guides are far better than any of the in game presets.

But there's still far too many issues considering the amount of rework. Nothing game breaking but slow downs in frame rate are simply way too common to ignore. My latest one is every time I go to and from the map I get 5 seconds of stuttering and I have no idea which graphic setting is causing it.

        • Not sure if you've seen it, but Digital Foundry have a YouTube guide for settings which was useful to me. It allowed me to get my FPS up to 90-100 at 1440p with minimal loss of quality. But then for no reason when I enter certain areas the GPU usage drops and FPS goes to around 50-60 :|

    • same experience here. i played on launch, the only bug i experienced was a very early mission not progressing properly, which fixed itself after i reloaded a save.

optimisation issues were sadly not as rare, but it was definitely not nearly as bad as people made it out to be for PC players

as for the ps4 / xbox equivalent players, i am not really surprised it ran badly for them, they are using outdated hardware.. the ps4 was 7 years old when cyberpunk released, frankly, CPDR should not have released it on the outdated consoles. i suspect we would have received a better product if they didn't have to hamstring themselves so that it could run on stuff like the PS4, especially when it didn't even run well on it anyway.

      • +2

It was never running on outdated hardware. The game was announced almost a full year before the PS4 was even released.
Don't blame older hardware for what was, frankly, a serious issue in management.

  • +2

Played through earlier this year. Would recommend.

There were a few glitches but overall a decent experience.

  • +1

Make sure while playing to get Johnny silverhand relationship above 70/80%
    To get best ending.
At the end dont choose and wait 5min for silverhand to suggest what to do.

  • -1

Are you sure it's not $2.27?

  • +3

I pre-ordered this and still haven't gotten around to playing it.

  • +1

Thanks OP. Purchased and received a picture of a retail code when I redeemed it.

  • +6

    It's cheaper here:

    https://gamesforplay.com/cyberpunk-2077

    $18.70 with promo code GFP10

    • Can't seem to check out on my end.

      • +2

        Really? it worked for me

        • +1

Ok it worked now. Had to disable my Adblock but the email they sent looked straight up spamming material…

          • +2

@Grey 13: Is it really worth saving $4 to buy from a super shady site that probably stole the key anyway? Might as well pirate it and save $22.

            • @Nereosis: Well the website/company is based in Norway, if that means anything.

But I used these guys 3 times and haven't had any issues. I always use PayPal for peace of mind..

              • @[Deactivated]: I was burned early in my PC game buying days with a couple of dodgy websites trying to save some money while in uni so I have trust issues.
To be fair, that one doesn't look too bad and the savings aren't unreasonable/unbelievable.

            • +1

@Nereosis: I was feeling adventurous tonight haha
Also CD Keys payment actually didn't go through for me :(

  • +2

I'm playing it on PS5, spent 40hours on it now I think and just half way. Game still got annoying bugs like NPC clothes keep flickering, texture doesn't load, and crashes sometimes. Still fun enough to play for me.

    • I've also played about that much of it on ps5, runs really well. I just wish the shooting controls were more precise. Mouse much better. Considering getting it on PC for the mods

  • -1

Probably still an empty shallow game. With a shiny exterior.

    • +1

So you haven't even played it?
You should play it. The story and dialogue is surprisingly solid.

      • I bought it, left it for a few months to update. Played maybe 50% of it and thought it was light on content. And its a corny take on the cyberpunk genre at best.

  • +2

    Only if it was steam

    • +2

Yeah but.. Gog made it. The fact it's on steam at all is a nice gesture. It's a competing platform although it widens the distribution.

OTOH the only reason we have steam is because valve said "Install steam or get fxkd if you want to play half life 2"

    • Waiting for Steam or Epic Games platform.

  • +3

Game is awesome on PC… Wish I had more time to play it

  • Any chance this would come to gamepass?

    • Unlikely but one can hope.

  • +3

any deals for a steam code?

    • None right now. Cheapest is off Steam itself. Only the GOG version has dropped this low in price.

  • -1

Hate was overblown, a lot of people just wanted to hate it just because of the circlejerk around the Witcher 3, including one of my friends

    • -4

Comparing cyber punk to Witcher is genuinely laughable.

      ESPECIALLY launch cyber punk

      • +2

        your reading comprehension needs work.

        • -3

Def sounds like you have the reading comprehension issue here mate. Re-read your original post as context to my reply.

          • +1

@hamwhisperer: i have, your reply only makes sense if you misunderstood my original comment, though i can't see how you managed to misconstrue that i was comparing TW3 to Cyberpunk

i am not comparing TW3 to cyberpunk, i am saying that because of the circle jerk surrounding TW3, a lot of people wanted to see CPDR fail, and when Cyberpunk had a rocky launch, they took their chance and ran with it.

            • @[Deactivated]: Why would anyone want to see CP fail? This is ridiculous.

People had high expectations of CP2077, because of the quality of The Witcher 3.
There's no "circle jerk" for TW3, I'm pretty goddamn picky and expected it to be over rated, yeah no, it's goddamn fantastic game, hell of a thing.

So of course people expected CP2077, amazing trailer, same company as TW3, incredible graphics. It can't not be amazing.

They dropped the ball, hard as hell and deserve to be mocked.

              • -1

@hamwhisperer: Because when people do not like something that a lot of other people do and constantly see that something being praised and given awards, they get nasty.

There's no "circle jerk" for TW3

I love the game, but that is where you lost your credibility.

  • +1

    wait for GOTY edition

    • I've learnt this from years of experience too. Lots of companies now don't sell addons at greater than 50% off (the "Paradox" model).

    • Are they even still patching this dreck?

      • +2

Yes, they have massively patched it consistently since launch.

I played it early this year and only hit a few graphical bugs and no gameplay/game-breaking bugs.

        • Well that's good news.

          • @hamwhisperer: 'Few' graphical bugs is relative to the size of the game mind you. Usually around NPC animation or pop-in but nothing that bad.

    • Has this game even won GOTY award?

  • +1
    • +1

Also a great deal for this game :)

  • -2

    Will wait until it’s $1

  • Returned this on first play. Way too buggy. Repurchased 6months later and really, really enjoyed it. Still dip in every few wks and just cruise around. Great game.

  • crappy website wouldn't take my order/paypal payment. brand new pc with win11. I'll wait and buy it elsewhere later.

  • +1

    It's $20.89 now.

    • -2

      But it's still with GOG…

  • It's back to $24.69
