      hi friend,
      thanks for your follow
ebay and AliExpress have some cheap thermometers,
but it is not INKBIRD, INKBIRD never sells at that low price.
      Here the best price ever.
      thanks

I don’t associate INKBIRD with quality anymore. I purchased an INKBIRD bbq thermometer and it was uselss. I returned it, got another one, still couldn’t provide an accurate reading on each probe. Returned it got ANOTHER one but this time we tested it with the sales bird and guess what USELESS.

    Previously posted for $36.03 + $24.50 = $60.53

There's savings but definitely not as much as claimed.

    • hi friend,
      thanks for your follow
the price you list is only for oz time. and only for three days.
we never sale the 2pb at the price 36.03, they get that price after eBay plus code.
also canbe used in this sales if they still have that code,it is discounted by ebay ,not inkbird store.
      thanks

If he is your friend, why is he providing you with negative feedback?

        • Wow, no love for Superman's comment!!

Do yourself a favour and buy a Thermapen.
Yes expensive but far superior in quality.

My inkbird ended up in the bin, cheap manufacturing, flimsy, dry solder joints leading to very early failure, there is a reason this is cheap

      hello friend,
      sorry to hear that ,
INKBIRD have one year Warranty , could you please tell me which inkbird you got?
you can email : [email protected] for replacement if still in Warranty.
we usually replace for new one instead of wasting your time to send it back to repair.
      I can help you.
      thanks

Thanks for the offer but already upgraded to a far superior product, appreciate your gesture all the same, I couldn't go back now though.

It was a while ago I threw it out so not sure on model unfortunately. Had the same issue with inkbird Bluetooth kit that wouldn't connect to anything, all in the bin and moved on from your brand. Maybe I got really unlucky but 2 out of 2 duds was enough for me

Really? I have three heavily used inkbird products and they've all been great. No regrets at all.

    • Also have had only good experiences with the inkbird stuff in contrast to your experience. Definitely not thermapen quality but a cut above all the other generic stuff.

  • I’ve given up on inkbird, cheap chinese manufactured products with no quality associated with it. Bunnings is stocking less and less of their products probably because of all the issues and hence returns.

    • Do you have a non-Chinese made product that you can recommend at a reasonable price?

    • +1

Must be luck of the draw. I only have 2 Inkbird products, a ISV-100W sous vide which has been great, and an instant read thermometer. My IHT-1S has been working flawlessly for a while now (had it since black friday 2021). I even checked its accuracy vs NATA calibrated thermometers at work when i first got it and it was within 1C. Hopefully build quality is ok and it lasts. Obviously i would have prefered a thermapen mk4 but bought this on an impulse buy cuz of the price. Im guessing QC is probably lacking compared to the expensive brands and that is why u get such varying experiences with their products.

  • Ouch

    • This is for a Thermometer and Infrared Thermometer

So, extra $14 for some junk thermometer (refer other users' comments) that is worth $10?

  • INKBIRD Infrared Meat Thermometer

Mot sure I'd be using infrared to check meat temps. The probe, sure.

The probe.is.good.for frypan stuff, snags, fish etc. But steaks and other stuff on the bbq, then their Bluetooth stuff is good. IMHO avoid the rechargeable stuff (my last one stopped charging after 18mths) but I've got a 5yo+ Bluetooth one going strong. I just need to replace the probes every year (but I use a charcoal egg and the temps & occasional flare up trashes them. They're fairly cheap to replace.

    • I use my infrared thermometer to check the temp of my cast iron pan before putting anything in it.

      • That's fair enough. But it's not a meat thermometer like it states

  • Agreed with above comments on cheap build quality. I had one for just over a year and it broke outside the warranty period. I'd only used it a handful of times as I don't BBQ that much. Support didn't give me much love aside from a 15% off coupon…which wasn't enough to convince me to purchase a product that in my mind should last a lot longer. Would stay clear of this brand.

  • Are we to believe that the infra red one reads the core meat temperature just by pointing it at the food? It strains the credulity.

    • no, you'd use it to check the temp of whatever you're cooking on. I use it on my cast iron pan to make sure it's at least 300C before searing sous vide steaks in it.

      • Really? I do that with my steak tartare.
