Do you need special ssd or can play be external hard drive which i already use with ps4?

@Ruddaga: Native PS5 games will only play from the internal SSD. They can be transferred to an external HDD/SSD to free up space. (cold storage).

yes but external drives don't work for PS5 games just PS4 games you need to use a pcie Gen 4 ssd for ps5 games internally if you want to explaned the tiny 800gb of storage.
It says a lot about the console market if you can still trade in a PS4 Pro in the first place. Two years into the new console generation, these old consoles would normally be E-waste.

Not sure why you’re being negged. The same thing happened to me. Ordered on the 5th and it was available to collect on the 12th.
I ordered mine on the 3rd and got an sms on the 10th August letting me know it got shipped to my local EB and they will ring me when it's ready for pick up but I'm still waiting…
This new trend of forced bundles is absolute BS. You should never have to pay more than $750 for a new PS5.
The only way to stop it, is for people to stop being stupid and stop buying bundles.
Kinda hard to stop when the only way you can buy a new one is with a bundle, unless you expect people not to buy one for however long Sony wants to keep buffing the sales numbers for their games by bundling them.
Sony does have a competitor with a more powerful console that is readily available without bundling and often below RRP.

I was shocked it didn't happen sooner and with more severe pack-ins! The scalper market was showing how much people were willing to pay just for the console, so if you're a retailer why not pack in a few accessories and a game and call it $1k?
I actually think retailers have shown a decent amount of restraint this console generation (I'm guessing not because the bundles wouldn't sell at that price, but possibly for the negative press they'd generate on social media etc).
Given Harvey Norman is already a complete pariah (anyone remember their GPU pre-orders?) and have nothing to lose reputationally, they should have been leading the ridiculous mark-up charge!

People have been saying that about the Switch for years.
If it's still selling like crazy and people are still in a rush competing to purchase one, to the extent that forced bundles are selling well with no discount for bundling, why would they make a 'pro' version?
Might as well milk the current version for a few more years before releasing a new version.
This is a little different as we know psvr 2 is coming. I suspect they will announce something not too long after.
Nintendo have also always done their own thing and the wii u screwed Nintendo over a bit.

Something smells dodgy… I would have thought with supply of CPU and GPUs back to somewhat normal these would follow… I wonder how much is due to natural supply constraints VS being able to sell at full price and sell out as soon as a shipment hits the stores (controlled supply to keep prices relatively higher)…
