This deal is not for everyone, this is for people who don't feel comfortable or have issues when purchasing league pass with a VPN (I personally had issues streaming league pass from my xbox after purchasing with a VPN so since then I have only purchased legitimately without a VPN - I'm sure I'm not the only one so hopefully this helps at least one other person)

If you pre-order the terrible game being NBA 2k23 Championship Edition you receive 12 months of NBA League Pass which gives you:

• Listen to select games in alternate languages

• Live audio for every game of the season

The game is released on the 9th of September so you would have to pre-order it before then obviously.

  But (apart from India I think) you wouldn't be watching/streaming via VPN so there would be no difference on the data stream source for a locally or non locally purchased league pass.

  If you’re not a VPN bargain shopper, this is actually a really good deal. Assuming you consider an NBA 2K a game worth, let’s say the $100 retail price, that makes 12 months of League Pass $140, which is an absolute steal in AUD, and not much more than a subscription via Brazil or similar.

  I, however, am driven to throwing PlayStation controllers out of frustration with NBA 2K games, so am not within the scope of people who would benefit from this deal.

    FYI, and anyone else wanting to be a VPN bargain shopper, I just received an email reminding me my league pass subscription is going to renew next month for ZAR839(South Africa) or ~$72au.

    [No you do not need foreign credit cards, or VPN to watch the games, just to start the subscription.]

  When the championship edition was announced people where complaining about the price (and ignoring what it was), now it's being posted as a deal to get the League Pass cheaper.

  NBA League Pass Standard (USA) will be reduced from $230 to $100 for the 22/23 season.

    Big if correct - website currently lists expensive prices still.

    I'm a Mexican subscriber to League Pass and my renewal email came yesterday, and the upcoming season will be 1260 MXN, which is roughly $90AUD. So I'll be keeping an eye on the local pricing for sure.

  I think I got mine via SA last two years (let it auto renew last year I think), but I am not sure what to do this year. I think they only had regular league pass for SA the past two seasons (no option for the premium plan) which only allows you to watch on one screen. Seems like they have a league pass premium this year for SA (I would much prefer the option to stream on two screens), so not sure how to go about changing my plan as I don't know what price it will renew at (in the email I got a few weeks ago is says ZAR839.99, but from within my account it says R443.99). So I am not sure which one is correct.
