Pretty much the best stuff I have tried in the foam cannon and at a much better price than most that are marketed for the for that purpose.

The best for cannon foam. You won't use anything else.

    • Better than bowdens snow job for the foam cannon?

      • Never tried Bowden's but better than Autoglym's Polar Blast.

        • Haven't tried AutoGlym Polar, but was recently tempted to when I saw it on what seemed a cheap price on Amazon.
Procrastinated and then price jumped up.
          Sounds like nothing lost

@Spending2Much: Polar goes on like shaving cream, where the Meguiars gold is a little runnier, and doesn’t stick quite as well. I use both, Polar for pre-soak, and Meguiars gold for the main wash

            • @bighalf: So do you use a cloth at all to scrub or do you just hose off the pre soak and main wash?

              • @montorola: My typical car wash routine.

                • hose down
                • spray tyre cleaner
                • MJJC foam with Meguiar's Gold Class
                • 2 bucket method with Armor All wash & wax
                • dry car with massive microfibre towel
                • @ace310: Interesting.
I don't start with a hose down cos the tyres take so long to do. I end up spending about 15 minutes on each tyre.
                  Wheely clean
Orange agent/wheel cleaner on the tyre wall
Brush and scrub to get all the gunk out
                  Rinse

Then, once I've finished all 4 tyres, I start with the foam (no hose down, dry paint).

@Lord Ra: Hose down helps in getting dirt wet and loosen up so that it's easy to remove. Also helps with any big debris being removed like flies or leaves (depends on your location).

              • @montorola: No contact for presoak and first rinse. I don’t pre rinse so the foam sticks better. I use a wool mit for the main wash (using a rinsing bucket), because I never feel satisfied with a fully contactless wash. Leaf blower to dry if I have the time.

The gold isn’t runny, but not as thick and sticky as polar. It will certainly get the job done.

            • @bighalf: Polar can be as runny as Meg's if you don't follow their instructions to the tee. The more concentrated Polar is, the more clingy it becomes.

I don't know if clingyness (?) improves the dirt removal ability.

            • @bighalf: I don't have runny issue with mjjc pro cannon. Maybe it depends on the foam cannon

            • @bighalf: You're lucky.
I use the Bosch Aquatak 100, with the build in foam cannon - always runny and super thing.
Bought the BO's foam cannon only to learn that it can't be used on the Bosch Aquatak 100.
Now debating what PW to buy that will give me nice foam.

              • +1

@Lord Ra: Try MJJC if has the adapter for your Bosch. It is one of the best foam cannon as per many reviews.

                • @ace310: Yeah I use the MJJC pro and highly recommend. If you need to, there’s a brass insert that can be swapped out depending on the power of your machine. I bought a 1.3mm when gifting a cannon to someone with a petrol machine. Shop around because there’s always sales on Amazon/eBay/Aliexpress for them.

                • @ace310: Thanks, but I already have the bo foam cannon now.

                • @Spending2Much: I don't know how to fit them.

I just can't figure out how to connect the Bosch up to the BO Foam gun. The bosh has a little hose that goes from the pw to the little gun. There is nothing detachable on the gun. I'm thinking I may need to buy a Lance to replace the gun. Once I have a Lance, or a gun+Lance, I should be able to use the BO FC.

Am I missing something? Maybe we should take this to the dms and figure it out there? I think you maybe able to help.

                  • @Lord Ra: You might have to buy a different lance which is a bit of hassle and extra expense
Does the end of the current sprayer come off at all?
Hard to tell from the pics online and I haven't seen one of these in person

                    • @Spending2Much: I think I agree with you re having to buy another lance. I may as well just get another PW.

Nope, the current gun sprayer has no removable parts. Lots of moving parts, as it lets me twist and turn and get all sorts of fun angles, but no removing anything.

Use code PBMP1 for a further $4 off

    • What else can that code be used for?

      • +1

        probably a price match code

  • I have used this in my foam cannon since past 4 years and just recently tried Bowden Snow Job last time out of curiosity. I personally feel Bowden did a better job in terms of foam quality (thicker) and more stable. I found Meguairs to be a bit runny. Plus, the end result was significantly better for Bowdens in terms of shine and cleanliness. But it’s more expensive than this.

    • I found it entirely depends on the foam canon you use. I tried two, one was thick and worked incredibly well, while the other was too runny. All down to how good the canon is.
