The $499 deal is back! (expiry unknown).

This is a a pretty good choice for content consumption, programming and general productivity. Not ideal for competitive gaming with only 60hz and limited freesync ability.

From what I can see, it's the only 32 inch 4K monitor under $500 with an IPS Panel. The next most comparable IPS monitors are ~$800 on sale (like the Gigabyte M32U).

All other 32 inch 4K (not 2k) monitors in the $400-500 price bracket are VA or TN panels which tend to have inferior viewing angles and colour reproduction (but it's also panel/tuning dependent).

  • Would it be possible if the hdmi port works as an output?

Eg laptop connect to monitor via usbc, then hdmi to hdmi to second monitor?

Saving having to connect second cable to laptop.

    • +15

It’s called daisy changing and HDMI does not do that. Only display port but even than both DP and usb-c can only carry 4K signal.

      So no.

      • Thanks

      • +2

Thanks. yeah 'daisy chaining' not changing dude. chuckle

    • +1

No DP output port on this model (read user manual below), cannot daisy chain to second display.

If this came with a kvm it would be an amazing home office unit.

    • +2

I added this to my set up. Taped it to the back of the monitor were the table stand goes. One button swap between usb c laptops.

      • Thanks for sharing. Few questions if you don't mind:

        • Does it need a separate power supply?
        • is it able to "autosense" i.e. Move the display to the device which is on at that moment?
        • any other nitpicks you've experienced?
        • +1

Yes, separate power supply (any usb will do, but not from the destination hub).
          No autosense.

          Pretty basic, no frills device.

Basically stops me having to change cable when I swap devices.

I now own one after the 550 deal I posted last week, it's very good.

  • Pretty sure this is the same panel as LG32UN650 which is not selling in AU.

  • -4

if this had an RJ45 I would grab one

    • -3

lol are kremlin bots downvoting me automatically because of my comments in Ukrainian GOG sale?

I have P24h-2L which is a 24" little brother of this monitor, with USB-C hub built in and all. but it does have built in Ethernet RJ45 which I find so super convenient. this model doesn't have it.

if it did, it would have been an awesome upgrade. but don't want to lose Ethernet

      • I fail to see why you need Ethernet on a monitor? Usb Ethernet dongle costs like $10 if you're that desperate

        • like I said, the one I have has one. this one looks just like a bigger version of the one I have, but for some reason no RJ45

isn't that the point of a ucb-c monitor with a built in hub - to avoid having a separate docking station? might as well come with an ethernet for a single cable desktop workspace solution

most Dell usb-c hub monitors have one.

          haha I am not desperate

  • Can anyone comment on webcam quality?

    • +1

I have LC50 standalone. very good webcam, not too wide with 90 degree FOV, good image quality

  • Can anyone comment please on how these go wall mounted for video conferencing (eg MS Teams) in small meeting rooms/project spaces? Trying to work out how we make it easier for staff to do this.

I'm guessing the limiting factor will be the length of the USB-C cable required, for power delivery and outputs, to reach the laptop on the table?

    • +3

Probably not much point investing in 4k just for super-compressed Teams calls?

      • +3

Agree with this guy. Just buy a 43 inch tv.

  • Is it height adjustable?

+1 for TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort certified

    • Sadly no. One small issue with it. But it's so light it fits on my monitor arm

  • Would this be good for video editing and colour grading for the price?
    $500 would be my max

    • +1

Absolutely a decent colour and quality at this price yes.

Honestly I'm not seeing a lot of difference from my 32 inch, 1300$ Dell 4k

      • Does it list the colour gamut coverage?

  • +1

Any independent verifications of this monitor being flicker-free?

    • I have one and it's fine, what do you mean flicker free? It's a 60hz ips

  • +1

From what I can see, it's the only 32 inch 4K monitor under $500 with an IPS Panel. The next most comparable IPS monitors are ~$800 on sale (like the Gigabyte M32U).

True but the Dell G3223Q 32inch 4K IPS 144Hz for $899 deserves special mention.

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/718439

    • G3223Q can be had for $850. Still expensive I know.

  • Excellent description, thank you.

  • OOS - out of stock, unfortunately.

  • Weird how the webcam isn't built-in to the frame?

    • +4

It's just a free external really. Mine's still in the box.

  • FYI, speaker is bad.

  • I didn't manage to buy at Amazon as OOS.
Bought it via JB Hi-Fi though. Price matched with JB - Bing Lee.
