I have a couple of the $40 small shelves from this brand, they are pretty solid for cheapies.

    • Picked up a couple of these. Noticed that they don't have a middle shelf support like the prior cheap ones they sold years ago , or it could of been Masters it was so long along. Fine for lighter duty.

Got one last time, very good shelves for heavy bulky items.

  • picked one up yesterday, going to install it after my coffee

    • Candy is your sister from another mister.

  • I have 6 of these in my garage. good units!

I was expecting the mesh to sag but it hasn't

    • +2

You must have a huge garage!

      • +11

        Or a small car.

        • haha no car in garage only a 6x4 trailer we only have single car garage

  • Would Bunnings give rainchecks for these? I was looking for such shelves but still have to organise my stuff before bringing them in

    • +4

They are just in flat packs, just buy them and leave them boxed up in a corner somewhere until you are ready to assemble them

    • +3

They are flat packed, I suggest you buy them now or the sale and or stock may be gone by the time your ready

    • +1

Take all your stuff out, assemble and then bring all the stuff you want back in :)

      • done this several times!!!

    • +3

Flat packed. Bought it on last deal. Still in box while getting the garage organised 😅

      • +2

        That's what I'm fearing knowing myself 😁

    • rainchecks still a thing? where/when can get rainchecks?

    • Ended up purchasing 2 and a shed, big weekend project

      • Yeah I'm going to buy 5 and a shed. I suspect they will be gathering dust in my garage for some time!

  • I have these. They're good

  • Saw something like this in Aldi last night so maybe Bunnings is matching them

    • +6

Yes as per usual, wouldn't expect bunnings to give a good price otherwise.

I find the wire shelves are annoying when dragging things on them. I also bought a 3mm MDF sheet:

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/1830-x-915mm-3mm-mdf-panel-stand…

Cut in half, they are a little bit short in depth but better than buying matching MDF panles.

    • I did this with some scrap wood as well
      Especially for containers with wheels

"Apple shelving" have amazing shelves bigger and cheaper.

    • +1

Only if you are in QLD
Shipping to Victoria is $150 for a similar sized one

    • Damn, these look great, pity about the shipping cost! Any equivalent distributors in NSW?

      • Not sure. I live 30min drive from the pick up warehouse. I forgot about the shipping costs for everyone else. I filled my whole garage with them wall to wall. 2.4m high. They are so extremely strong.

    • +1 for Apple Shelving, great quality for the price compared to what Bunnings offers.

  • How do they compare to somethine like these?

    https://www.plusoutdoors.com.au/2m-shelving-2m-x-0-6m-x-2m-b…

    • The bunnings one is 625kg per shelve v's this one only 200kg per shelve

    • I'd say they have a weight rating more realistic than the Bunnings type.. Also diagonal bracing which is good. I would choose these over the Bunnings type.

      • it's $21 more expensive, and $129 for delivery (for me).

      • Yeah theres no way the bunnings can hold 600 per shelf, while this one only 200. Bunnings one looks flimsy in comparison

        • Not vouching for either one, but this one is using sheet steel which may not have as high a rating (albeit its more convenient for most people) whereas the bunnings one is using a wire rack which may be much stronger

  • Grabbed one, thanks OP!

    • Looks ugly imho …

    • Looks a little flimsy compared to my link above and only 100kg per shelf.

  • +1

Cheers! Missus wasn’t too happy I procrastinated on the last deal and missed out. I’m going in tomorrow. Probably

  • Missed out on last deal so pleased to see this post. Ordered one.

  • How do these compare with the aldi ones? I'm in need for some shelves for my shed.

  • You need a ute to drive it home?

Package size dimensions are listed on the Bunnings product page. Length would be the biggest constraint, measures 1780mm. I was able to fit a couple of these in the back of a Sportage with rear seats folded down and front seat scooted right forward.

      • +1

Yes. The site says 1780, but how can they make shelves with 1830x1820 dimensions in a 1780 box ? The video doesn’t show the bits lying diagonal.
        It’s a Tardis !

    • We managed to fit it into Honda jazz with seat folded down

  • +1

Given these are 1.8m wide and can support >600kg per shelf. It would be great bunk beds for adults lol.

    • This is giving me ideas about how to kit out a campervan

  • +1

I bought 1 a few weeks ago when it was on special & assembled it in under 15mins and had to go back and buy another as it's great value at this price of $178 - Highly Recommend them at this price (not worth $282)

  • Now assembled, took 2 hours including watching the video and discouraging two Labradors from helping. I am short and needed a ladder to assemble the top shelf. You do need a rubber mallet, the $3 Bunnings cheapie is fine. Bunnings delivery was great, carried the pack all the way to the shed.

  • Is it possible to construct these in 2 vertical halves to make 2x low 2 shelf structures, or are the vertical pillars a single piece?

    • I had the same idea and no you can't, but when I went to pick up mine I saw that there was a similar 1.2m wide model that can: https://www.bunnings.com.au/pinnacle-1830-x-1200-x-540mm-glo…

Ended up sticking with this one because its wider and a better deal.

    • Yeah I had the same idea hence I bought only 1 but once I started to assemble it quickly realised it's 1830 high only, so had to drive back to Bunnings to pick up another one lol !!

  • I bought 3 previously, without realising they were on OzBargain haha.

    Great shelves, easy to assemble.

I've got spare parts if anyone needs a few extra shelves. Located in the Inner West.

    • what spare parts do you have? Might be interested!!

      • I built 3 shelving units with 3 shelves each and the 4th "open shelf" for structural support, so I've got some random parts.

Never mind, these won't be enough to create new shelves but can be spares if anyone have damaged theirs:

        • 3 mesh
        • 6 middle support
        • 3 long connecting bars
  • nice find
