Is that 10% off your normal/previous prices, or 10% off the fake RRP ?

I fix up old bikes that get thrown out in council clean ups or given away on Gumtree & the amount of Reid ladies bikes is crazy.
Parts are junk and the spokes, handlebars, stem and cogs always rust. They use a lot of steel because it's cheap.

      BikeNerd, is that you?

      • Haha yep, I'm going to neg because member Forsyth123 is currently in the penalty box for sockpuppeting on this post & this one, which basically means they were caught making fake comments in order to profit from Ozbargain.

I don't think this is what scotty had in mind when he created this website.

  • Any road bike recommendations for under 1k?

I've had my Reid bike (the Urban X3) since 2017 and have no complaints. Still really like it. I keep it garaged on the wall and do a bit of service on it here and there but yeah, seems good to me (although, I'm not exactly an 'extreme' user).

    Rubbish bikes

counter to popular opinion, i like my Reid MTB. But the price increases over the past 12 months are just taking the P.

  • I've had a Reid Granite 2.0 Gravel bike for a couple of years, put around 1500kms on it, and it's been superb. No issues with reliability, and with fenders and panniers fitted I've been able to use it in all sorts of weather commuting to work and back. It's also been fine on the occasional weekend off road rides. I will say though that the RRP has gone up by over $200 since then, though not really surprising with the pandemic and shortages, just supply and demand at work.

Worst customer service I’ve ever had.

Reid stole money from us and the bike we bought from them was crap too, arrived damaged and rusted quickly.

Save your money and buy elsewhere.
