Price is for first 4 weeks, if you order 18 meals a week on a plan / sub.

I believe when they moved to this subscription model like the other food delivery services the accounts got deleted.

Gone are the days of just ordering 9 meals for $79 or whatever with varying coupon codes :(

    • Looks like their new re-occurring plan is on a separate system or it's only for new users.

I can log in my existing account and can see my past orders and place a normal order. But cannot use the existing account to sign up to a new re-occurring plan, get prompted to create a new account instead.

  • Check your emails if you had an account. I had an email in there to get up to $210 off. Tempting

can one just get the week 1 off then cancel? not sure if its worth the diminishing value after the first box.

    • Would like to know as well..

Even if it is not the case, still a pretty good deal.

Edit: Looks like my account has been nuked as well.

"The email entered does not match any account. Please create an account."

Maybe they moved to a new system and didn't transfer previous history over?

Have started trying my hand at these delivered meal kit services.

The first I went in on was Dinnerly. Just did a week with 50% off and was surprised at the value - probably >$100 worth of groceries delivered for ~$50. Recipes are good ideas, not difficult, but maybe a little small in portions. I'd say it's not particularly quick or especially convenient - I'm taking 1-2 hours from beginning to end (food prep, cooking, eating, clean up) - so it's really mostly about the convenience of not doing a grocery shop and having set recipes to follow.

Will try a few of the others, if only for the sake of saving costs by using new customer deals, but to see what's on offer. Wouldn't mind finding a couple that do pre-prepared meals that just need reheating.

Anyone got advice for me on who the pick-of-the-bunch is in terms of value and convenience?

HelloFresh has always been good quality, but on the expensive side of things. You may be able to score a free box at the classifieds
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/602287

EveryPlate is owned by HelloFresh but is simpler meals, and a lot cheaper. All groceries come in the box, not organised.

Marley Spoon was similar to HelloFresh - I found their quality was great.

agree. the ones required you to cook, i dont really like them. still need to spend time.
youfoodz is different, they are ready to eat

I ordered my box, YouFoodz missed the 22nd of August delivery. I went to online chat and they cited a 'latency' issue. Apparently last weeks orders overwhelmed the business as they have been cutting working hours except for people on salary who can't keep up with 16 hour days. WTF

…which isn't great as my first box discount is lost and now I can only get regular priced-boxes…

They apologised and said they can't re-activate the deal as it is a loss-leader and have told me they will give me a CREDIT for the amount i was charged on my CC. Ummm, yeah but the meals were $4.99 when I purchased the deal, but now they have taken away the offer, so I have to pay full-price. ie, They baited me with $4.99 meals, cancelled the offer and told me I have a refund that can be used to purchase full-price meals.

Use a different email for your next order. You can still use the code

yeah my order was also cancelled and it's quite hard to reach CS but not too bothered tho. can always get food elsewhere and try again with a new acc.

Same issue here. They missed my 22nd of August delivery, tracking showed 23rd so I was thinking oh it's being delayed for one day and waited until 23rd. Still no delivery so reached out to their CS on 23rd then followed up today to find out my box has been lost in transit and I'll get my money refunded… Next available delivery date is Monday. So no Youfoodz at all this week.

    • +1

Yeah that’s bs, sorry to hear. I pay with PayPal for most deals for exactly this reason

    • My Monday delivery got delayed again and rescheduled to be delivered on Tuesday. Hopefully the box actually arrives this week otherwise it'll be two weeks of no delivery… would make Youfoodz an unreliable company.

      • Got my box delivered today. Thank goodness.

Youfoodz is a joke. They disabled me commenting in their facebook group because me and other people were leaving negative replies to their posts about the change to a subscription.

I guess that's how Youfoodz treats their loyal customers… we are nothing but $$$$$$ to them now.

  • I didn't realise they were a subscription service now. Now I need to read through the detail and work out if it's actually a good deal (vs the old days of coupon codes!).

Feels like it wasn't that long ago when half of OzBargain boycotted them because of the racist remarks!

  • Do you know if you skip a week, does this discount still apply on the following week's order?

  • Nobody should bother even thinking of getting Youfoodz just look at all the negativity from customers towards Youfoodz.

    • Delayed Deliveries
    • Missing Items
    • Wrong Items
    • Bad Customer Support
    • If you cancel before the next subscription there's a good chance you'll still be charged for the second week
    • Almost out of date meals from the delayed deliveries
    • Getting a refund is harder than you think
    • Long hold times when calling customer support
    • Almost no replies from messaging them about issues
    • No deals or savings
    • No AfterPay which used to be an option
    • Forced to pay full price
    • They got rid of their next day delivery in favor of 5-7 day delivery windows and that's if you're lucky
    • Can't select meals and forced to go into a meal plan/subscription

Please stay away from this company. They really went bad when HelloFresh bought them. We need the MSM to investigate this company.
