[Pre Order] Samsung Z Flip4 256GB $499/ Z Fold4 $1499 with Telstra 100GB/Mo $69/Mo 24 Mo New & Port-in, in-Store/Call @ JB Hi-Fi

420

Edit 1:36pm: JB uploaded the wrong info on their website when this deal was live. It’s now on the correct 100GB $69/M plan instead :/

Much much better deal than this and this

Remember to stack with your bonus trade in coupon for additional savings:

* $400 off the Z Flip4
* $600 off the Z Fold4

The Telstra 24 months contract will be $656 if you consider both Samsung phones at RRP (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip4 256GB at $1499 or the Z Fold4 512GB at $2499)

Cost per month (just for the phone plan and without any trade in) equates to $27.33

Not too sure if you can combine with this current coupon deal if opted without a trade in

Remember to ask for a port in credit via the Telstra live chat

  • I’m sure Samsung are subsidising most of these discounts but hopefully they have similar deals for the iPhone 14 next month. I’ve started my 30 day port out of Telstra in preparation.

    • +1

Have there ever been good iPhone deals like this at launch? Or would it be better to grab this and sell the phone?

      • +1

Definitely not expecting the trade in bonus but the port in credit / gift cards aren’t Samsung specific.

      • +2

Have there ever been good iPhone deals like this at launch?

Got my iPhone 3GS for almost nothing besides the plan cost from Three Mobile by stacking their regular launch day discount and a bonus loyalty discount.

    • A staff member told me that Samsung gives the biggest subsidies when they launch. I don't think Apple does the same.

  • How does one get this deal if they are already with Telstra?

    • +2

You’d have to port out your mobile to a non Telstra carrier for 30+ days. You used to be able to post out for a day and most staff wouldn’t check but sounds like they cracked down on that.

      • +4

Gotcha. It's a big fat fack you to loyal customers.

        • +5

No such thing as a loyal customer, just lazy stupid ones apparently.

      • Does this mean if im on woolworths mobile (telstra carrier) ill need to port out for 30 days? :(

        • +1

That should be fine. It's usually only actual Telstra and Boost that are excluded

        • Edit: I thought it was all that used Telstra network but based on comment above I may have misunderstood.

I went for a Kogan $2.9 starter pack. Vodafone coverage is patchy in my area but the things we do to play the game.

        • I rang my local JB and they confirmed that Woolworths are fine to port from. They said boost and belong won’t be considered new customers.

    • +1

Just port every year or 2, bounce between voda/optus/telstra/kogan (if you not a heavy user) and you get pretty much $200-$500 every year in points/fly-buys/gift card/savings.

  • Would I have the option of returning the phone for jb credit or cash? Just bought a S22 Plus recently but do plan on porting back into telstra

    • I strongly doubt they'd accept returns. You'd be better off selling privately

  • +1

Might be a great deal, but I found Telstra's to be average at best. I don't think I'd last two years.

I'll pop into my local Optus store what they can offer r, although I've had no luck recently with them.

    • +5

I recently went from being with Telstra for 3 years to trying both Optus and Vodafone over the past few months. For my use case, there is simply no comparison, especially when I travel into country Aus. I'm going back to Telstra.

      • I just recently moved to Optus to try to take advantage of the new Telstra customer deals, but Optus in my area is abysmal, esp when the NBN goes down and Im trying to tether off my phone

    • Wait for TGG's deal if you're with Optus. They normally have similar deal.

      • TGG are like JB, so they have the similar Telstra promos but usually JB are more competitive with their Telstra deals

Only OW and HN are doing Optus promos

        • Got the phone payment done yesterday. Fold 4 256 gb = 2499-1000(promo)=1499-600(coupon)=899-350(phone credit) =549 Paid via Gift Card so 5% less in total $521.55 out of pocket for the device and 69$ plan for 24 months…I did ask for 20 dollars off over 300 spent but two coupons will not stack. • Are you able to sign up over the phone? Or is this instore only?

    Thanks guys

  • Note these plans don't include any overseas usage allowance (text, calls or data). If that matters to you.

    • Whatsapp, Imessage, facetime etc?

      • Which all use data if you are overseas. What's your point?

Don't want to give up my current Optus plan with unlimited domestic and international calls and texts (to included countries), whilst overseas, plus 10GB of data (per month).

        • Ah I see I misread what you meant.

I didn't even know some Aussie sim cards would work while overseas.

  • So tempted. What's the Z Flip4 resell value? It would be great if I can find someone just want the phone, lol

    • No one knows. But the 256 is being sold at the 128 price. So it's reasonable to think you could resell for around that price. Maybe 1100-1200 if it's still new

    • Probably low in the long term. The flip 3 went down to like $500 months ago.

      • No the Galaxy Z Flip is about 500-600 second hand "refurbished", Flip 3 looks to be 800+

        • You miss out the last Amazon prime day deal. The flip 3 was under 700

          • @ChickenAdobo: I didn't miss out :D

            • @Forth: Unfortunately the long term review on YouTube turn me off. Samsung hasn't perfect the wear and tear of flipping up and down.

              • @ChickenAdobo: Unfortunately why should I care about your subjective opinion on a product?!
What you buy or not buy is none of my business.

Went to JB rouse Hill. They said stacking with trade in plus bonus $600 not allowed. Is the above description accurate?

    • +1

My bad, got little too excited thinking it may stack with the trade in coupon :/

  • +1

Instead of the 256GB Flip, I wonder if I could pay a little extra to upgrade to the 512GB model instead?

    • +1

As far as I know, you pay the difference.

  • Any idea if this is for today only?

    • +1

      Ends 24th August

Harvey Norman have a deal with
    Optus.

    Samsung galaxy Z fold 4 5g 512gb

    $1100 handset credit
    $1399 payment for handset

    Optus $69pm 80GB data
$400 bonus HN gift card if you preorder

    • i don't see the 400 bonus HN gift card?

  • Thought this deal was amazing and so I was gutted that I was ineligible since I'm already with Telstra but now that the $600.00 bonus credit isn't applied then the deal isn't as good.

  • Can someone explain why this is a good deal? It says min cost 2k over 24 months. 499 for the phone upfront, can you cancel after a month or something?
