  • Not wifi 6?

    • No it's not. AC not AX ;)

  • Next up: MW24, then 48, 96, 192 and by 2026 it'll be MW 1,000,000

  • "better than TP-Link Deco M5"
While dated the M5 has FOUR internal antennas and a far more mature Mesh AI and advanced beamforming. Mesh AI is important to ensure your devices reliably connect to the access point with the strongest signal at the correct band. (no 5g is not always the fastest). Tenda often disappoints in this regard.
On paper the MW12 is the superior product in-terms of performance and coverage, however real world use these products are comparable. You will require more nodes of the Tenda for the same real-work coverage, and each node repeating adds latency. Additionally at his entry point, the third band offers no real-world benefits.

At this price point, seriously should consider an x20 (dual band) but is WiFi6 and will out perform this considerably and have been recent deals ~$300 for 3 nodes.
While most people won't benefit from WiFi6, it has much lower latency and makes people feel good seeing improved ping times.

Not meaning to imply this is a bad product, just pointing out at this price range there are alternatives.

  • I bought 4 of them a year ago and they ran strong up until a month ago. Now experiencing frequent drop outs and the mesh goes offline for no reason. Tested with Telstra modem and the wifi is stable, the moment I shift to mesh it shits itself out.

I regret my decision of not spending couple hundred more to get premium product. Just sharing my experience hoping that it may help someone to decide.

  • Is there a way that I can change the channel of the signal on the nodes? I get lots of interference on the channel that it emits 5G signal.
    Any help is appreciated.
