Ug,…….$630 for a used mattress. Doesn't seem like good value at all considering you don't get to break it in yourself and who knows where it has been?
The other hassle is that it has to be shipped already expanded so nothing to stop it being damaged in transport or in storage when returned!.
Correction: Our Reloved range is available for pickup only in Springvale, Melbourne

Pre loved underwear is where it's at.

      • Coming soon: used toothbrushes

        • Semi used toilet paper, just avoid the middles of sheets

  • Did they Evan think this through?

      Did they Eva*

I thought these companies donated them to charity That’s the right thing to do rather than reselling them for $630

    • +5

They usually do but while most of our products are donated to charity, those that couldn’t make it to a donation centre came back to our warehouse in Melbourne.
Regardless, it is still a rip off considering a new one (Queen) costs under $800 when on sale and come with a 120day Trial plus 12 Year Warranty. These only come with 2 year warranty and no Trial!

I agree this is definitely a crappy sale. Used goods that they somehow can’t deliver to a charity should be at least half price.

        • Agreed. Definitely feels like Salvo's have probably told all these mattress in a box companies to sort out returns themselves now.

        • Yep. A second hand mattress needs a more substantial markdown than this.

As for Eva mattresses themselves, I've had one for the past four years and it's absolutely marvellous. I definitely recommend them.

I hope StepOne rep does not see this.

600 bucks for a used mattress…I don't how much you allege to have cleaned it, this is a terrible "deal".

    • +1

If I was stupid enough to buy one I’d definitely be using one of those blue lights that came with the rat test on it.

I'm fairness, memory foam ones with removable covers are great candidates for a second hand mattress, the foam won't have changed shape ona trial period at all and the cover can just be washed. It's not like the old days with inner springs and no removable cover.

They just aren't hitting the target market, people who can afford 680 second hand will afford a new one for 800.

      • I disagree i.e., the foam will absolutely have changed shape on a trial period. I am not that heavy and notice a major change and have retuned two brands for this reason alone. They were comfie but became unconfortable due to foam indentation after approx 60 days.

Oh and I own an EVA for 18 months ……….and love it as I like a firm mattress..

        • the foam will absolutely have changed shape on a trial period

          Especially if it was 'loved'

Used mattress and pillow at those prices?
    Re-frickin-diculous.
I am surprised that they can even sell used pillows. That sounds pretty unhygenic to me.
Can easily buy new quality mattresses at Ikea etc cheaper.

    Preloved is an apt description

I'd like to nominate this for the worst deal of 2022 award, please mods.
