  Quality of their furniture has plummeted. Bought dining chairs 7 yrs ago and needed more of the same. Despite the new ones being now double the price, the new ones were so roughly finished that it was apparent they didn't sand the wood and just painted over the top. Quite substantial amounts of rough areas on areas you'd likely scratch your hands when moving the seats. The paint wasn't evenly finished either with missing spots around the legs. Anyway I submitted a review and they contacted me to understand more about the issue.

  In the end I got a 20% refund but had to wait on hold for 1hr :10mins to get the refund

  So if your post code is shown in this list you qualify for free delivery?
  Apart from the date it ends is there a limited number of delivery slots ie you purchase your goods or you go and buy ikea gift cards and then find slots for delivery has been filled and possibly not be available again.

  If you purchase actual ikea gift cards or gift cards from somewhere else that has ikea included I take you can get the amount you need and pay for your items with the gift cards no matter where they come from and still qualify or is gift cards excluded in this free delivery deal?
  Also what about $25 voucher does this affect your 399 spend ie say your purchase was 399 and your voucher makes this $25 less does this no longer qualify for free delivery.
  Not sure what I’m spending etc just getting getting info and work from there

      Not sure what you mean so I can buy gift cards from various resources at discounted prices and I can purchase whatever I’m purchasing with them or are you saying they are not letting you get free delivery if you pay by gift cards as end of day your still buying the good from ikea.
      If I buy 399 or more of stuff from ikea paying with gift cards I qualify for the free delivery?
      I’m not saying I am buying 399 worth of stuff as yet but there maybe two other items I was going to get another time but maybe get now instead and get the free delivery out of it

  Perfect, had a lamp that wasn't in stock locally but available for delivery, saved $59 for free shipping.
  Used GCs as well from Cash rewards to save 3% as well.

  Can anyone tell me why delivery is not available as most times I check there is no slots? I have seen it come up twice in last 2 weeks and it seems it only comes up once a week and pretty much gone either that day or certain not available next day etc.
  I not been interested at this points been moving stuff around in house to see what items I can grab, now that I know delivery is the big factor as can’t pick up like I used to.
  They have free delivery which ends on the 13th is that end of business day or even if booked in then your ok that’s if the delivery option becomes available by then.

  The items I want are all in stock and yes it be great to get the free delivery, I take regardless of the amount of items you order it’s still free delivery?

  I assume i can use my $25 voucher and also use gift cards to purchase these items as long as the cost is still over $399.
  The place I get gift cards says it can take maybe 24hrs but maybe that’s worse case scenario? And it’s more instant?
  My other issue is I could end up buying what I need for this purchase in gift cards but yet free delivery does not show available for me and I lose out on free delivery.

  I was only planning to get three items I want and pay for delivery which i believe is $79.
  But I do want two other items which I will qualify for the free delivery so essentially it’s like getting one of the items for free.
  And the annoying thing is if that free delivery does not show up before it expires then I wasted money on the extra gift cards, I suppose I can use them if I visit Ikea later on as these two items are smaller.
  Getting the other three items is more important as the are a bit long for car.

  Not done delivery with them before, normally I would pick up but that was in past and curious who they use, what happens if your items arrive damaged do they deliver and other part as certainly would not drive up there to exchange as bit far and items are to long for car.

  Bugger it I might just prepare myself with gift cards and just hope free delivery comes up but to be hones it should be available every day not when they want, this is not just free delivery I’m talk about even paying for it as well.

  Don’t get it I wanted to add some extra shelves to my order and it’s now saying parcel delivery only for the shelves and the main items are not available lol.
  I deleted the extra shelves and says no delivery available yet in my area. They do deliver as my post code is there and it has shown up twice in past.
  Previous I was going to pay for delivery but as I have added to the order more items I qualify for the free delivery so all should be delivered right? Unless the area to deliver is not opened up yet and appears now and again as said I have on two occasions seen the paid delivery show up ie slots available well it does not give you dates i believe just what day is available.

  But ikea see a joke to be honest they offer you a free delivery but you can’t place your order as no delivery window yet.
  Even chat is a joke nobody chat to me to discuss

  Does anyone know how there delivery system works as they are becoming a joke trying to order over $500 of goods and it’s saying I qualify for the free delivery but in next page three of my main items are not available lol.
  The other items they can send to me are no good without the main items.
  I was told all sorts of excuses but the fact that warehouse was one reason and had no stock is a lie as I tried a few random post codes and a person from 22km away can order but not me. Ok the other place is about 25k from ikea store and we see probably 41km
  Tried one even close to store thst person can order.
  What gets me is they are offering free delivery my post code comes under who they deliver too and it even says on next page that my main items are not available.
  Chat line just makes up excuses all the time.

    It seems people 22k away can order what I’m trying to order as I tried a post code from that area and it seems they can purchase with free delivery and I went back on chat to ask why is this not working for me.
    They said there is no stock to my delivery address as it comes from the warehouse and that’s where delivery comes from.
    Funny how 22k away they can buy it and have delivered for free when they said it’s not in stock at warehouse and where deliveries come from I said well explain that said must be store stock.
    I would like to know is there chart people in Australia or overseas just wondering are the calls to them people in Australia or overseas as it be nice to speak to some boss or leadership on this carry on.
    They offer free delivery I two rooms pulled apart and stuff lying about in two rooms as I can’t get the idiots to deliver my items. I check daily to see if it becomes available or slots in my area.
    I find it crazy someone 22km away can place same order have no issue and get free delivery and it seems comes from store.
    You would think a business if a store or warehouse it come from wherever and the order is fulfilled, yet people who drive to store can grab there orders well but this not really what I want to do right now when they are offering free delivery.
    They can only supply me shelves 8 but not the bigger items lol I am told next week a particular part of my order should be available I said what about other items they said that’s aready available but it’s not showing for me as available in my cart.
    I have a plan regarding the free delivery but again this might not work but I feel they are just messing me around with trying to make an order.
    Tempted to just hire a Ute and go up to ikea and pick up myself but that’s like $80 minimum just to do that when now is free delivery but Ikea is being a pain.
    Had I not already got these items and did not need more I think I would just finish with ikea for good but I need them to go with others.
    I used to love ikea and there stuff was good now it’s expensive and not as good and this is a joke just trying to order with the free delivery.
    No other company plays with customers like this and fills your head of excuses. If they just make my area a no go delivery area I’m all good with that.
    To offer it with my post code and it’s in the list and not restricted well it seems to me it is if others can get same no issues.
    I got some gift cards to save some money I have a voucher to use and I made the order bigger to get the free delivery but I can’t

      Dude call them up keyboard warrior. Despite being on hold for over an hour I got to speak to a really nice and apologetic person who helped refund me $79.

        But it’s probably same idiots im chatting to with live chat I have spoken to 4 different people and all same similar things or talk crap you as a refund is different I call today as last day of delivery but I know for a fact it’s going to be waste of time as I am sure if it was to be sorted one would have sorted by now, I did gain a $25 gift card from one of them but that’s not what I’m after it’s the delivery of my order of which main items are not available to deliver but as mentioned are for others

  lol of all days delivery become available this morning so i quickly placed my order god that was hard work, all there bull about no warehouse stock and other crap was just that.
  I did decide to drop an item from my order but still had the spend to qualify for free delivery was able to use my gift cards and my voucher and scored free delivery and here was me tempted to hire a Ute from Bunnings so glad it worked out but all this was unnecessary to be honest.
  I did get a free $25 gift card while all this was going on and would have been used if I had not cancelled one of the items but last minute change of plan but if I need it I can always pick up from store another time. Reason i wanted delivery is items are bit long for car otherwise i would have picked up days ago.
  Let’s see what the next chapter brings but I need to think positive

  Well here we go biggest furniture store in the world and one of the worst places to deal with, great if you can pick up but for me I can’t.
  After placing my order 5 days ago was waiting to see some updates on my order ie packing or out for delivery.

  After waiting an hour on phone guy contact’s delivery company and they said it needs to be rescheduled lol

  Was no contact from ikea or anyone I had to do the chasing again, the guy did offer to refund my delivery cost I said it was free they should know that.

  And said they will monitor it ok right, like he has nothing else to do he said there was no other slots available for me not sure what he means by that maybe today?

  But he said I’m the only one in that area for delivery, i felt like saying who cares just get it delivered are they so tight they can’t just get it on its way.

  I have purchased a lot over the years and every time I always done pick up but these was to long and my car is newer and did not wish to use it. And hey delivery was free so why not.
  So what wasted day and stuff lying around still, and I get my ikea stuff whenever that’s going to be.

  This sure has put me off not only has there items got worse in quality but more expensive, my experience just trying to get my order complete with free delivery was a nightmare and now after 5 days never got delivery on the date I was provided and yes they provided the date not me.
  Might be my last order from these to be honest after this it’s a joke.
