this comes with an aRGB adapter which you can plug into your motherboard to control the lights if you do not have the controller box
PS: this is a single double 8 pin, so if you have a higher end GPU, you'll need 2 (or the triple 8 pin variant) of these (along with the controller as mention above).
Edit: appears this comes with a 'Cable adaptor for motherboard aRGB 3pin header' (as per description and 5th Amazon Image)

Sorry you are correct. But note that higher ends 30-series requires 3*8 pins.
The price is pretty decent for the lower end GPU's version. You can't go to wrong with under $40. The triple one costs an arm and a leg
What if I need 6 & 8? I assume 8 = 6 + 2? Hard to tell by the pics.
Do you think you can use 2 of these, only plugging in 3x 8 pins and still use all the flashy bits? Or will the one that is only using 1x 8pin not fully work?
I hate to break it to you all but this is a EPS12V (CPU Power) cable according to the specs, not a GPU PCIe power cable.

If you can afford, try Lian Li Strimer Plus v2 which is a lot better than Strimer Plus.

Received it today and am very disappointed, it is the old version 1, not the V2 as advertised.
That sucks. I wish there was something in place for all places when you are goven the wrong item. Now you have to make time to go and drop off the package to get shipped back and wait for your refund. Same if you buy a maccas burger and its the wrong item or they forgot the chips. Companies should be responsible for the customer time lost..
I just contacted customer service and they promised to send out the right one. Should arrive on Monday. Let's see what i get.
