  • Starbuy also has some of the Casio Ediface Chrono lineup on clearance too.

It might be worth waiting to see what comes up in the weekend sale if you are after a chrono watch.

Would love to see you post your pick of the deals. :)

      • seiko speed master solar "panda" would be nice for us who can't afford daytona.

      • Do we have a pick of the bunch yet WN?

        • Yep this one I posted.

    ayeeee JDM!

i could totally see this going nice with a brown leather strap

u had me tempted for a hot minute there, WN

  • Starbuy is the first company I've seen that offers almost every major BNPL in Australia haha.

Yeah but did you read some of the comments from last post? Apparently it's really nice haha.

      • yes i did, but thanks to your comment i have now read it for a third time. dark side… must not…

aside from being made in japan and colour, what's the difference between this watch and the sne533p?

        • +1

Same movement, so probably just dial (indices) and bezel designs are the real difference.

        • Different colour.
Grabbed it for that price, $205 makes it a great grab and go. Sold a G-Shock GA-2100 to make room (don't tend to wear it).

      Get it. Doooo iiitttt!!!

i think i prefer the silver bezel variant of the SNE541 but this is JDM yo

  • Ooh, I picked one up last year. Starbuy hasn't had it in stock or even listed for quite a while.

If in doubt, do it! Classic Seiko style, great colour, JDM, Solar reliability and accuracy, bargain price.

Downsides are…..err, umm. Sorry, I'm stumped.

      Downsides are…..err, umm.

      bezel isn't lumed ;)

isn't a downside, as such, just personal preference

      • And no numbers on the bezel. Again personally preference

        • Can replace the bezel inserts, the silver one looks alright. Most watches end up being desk divers so may not matter unless you go diving and still wouldn't matter. The traditional dive watch look is classic though.

Can we get some g-shock deals?

  • I really shouldn’t Ozbargain after a few glasses of red… thanks WatchNerd

Grabbed the blue tuna Street solar from watch depot just recently for $205. Should arrive Monday hopefully.Recommend getting it from them, would be $259 after the $20 email signup (pop-up). Depends if you think the J model is worth an extra $40 (usually isn't).

  • Can anyone recommend a crystal upgrade for this one?

    • Not sure exactly but saw a Reddit discussing it. I'd start on this site https://www.seikomods.com/

    • +2

Why bother? Hardlex is mid-way in hardness between mineral crystal and sapphire.

Look at crystal replacements/upgrades if/when it becomes an issue?

      • It's mostly for looks, thinking about a double domed with AR coating. I found one here that fits; https://usa.crystaltimes.net/shop/models/seiko-5-sport/ct061…

      • +1

I wouldn't touch it to start with, disrupts the pressurised seal and meat as well see how it looks. Worth if or when the glass gets scratched a bit, and end up over capitalising on the watch.

I always prefer sapphire crystal and anti reflective coating makes a big difference (this one may have a bit?) Although the idea of hardlex is it scratches instead of smashes for diving purposes.

Modding Seikos is fun though if you got the tools and doing a few upgrades at once.

        • Didn't consider the seal. Is the seal that much different from an SKX?

          • @tor: Dunno mate, just saying swapping it yourself may not guarantee the Proper water resistance.
